for those wanting a more accurate pronunciation of “arigato gozimas” or “thank you very much”
start with “ah” like in “car”
then the “ri” is a bit weird; the “r” sounds is much more like a mix between the english “d” and “l” sounds. it’s made by running the tip or your tongue forwards on the roof of your mouth and then almost flicking your tongue forward and making the “d” sound. “ri” should sound like the first half of “deer”
“ga” is pronounced like the first part of “god”
“to” is just “toe”
“go” is just “go” but prolonged; there shouldn’t be a pause before “go” and “zi”
“zi” is pronounced like “z+eye” or the first part of “zion”
and “mas” is basically just “mass” but the “a” is sort of a mix between an “a” sound and a “u” sound. sort of like “ahh” and “uhh” together.
now all together-
ahh-dii-gah-toe go-zai-maas
Hi, may i ask you a question:if we travel 2 people. Do we need to buy 2 suica cards?
ОтветитьThere are so many things you can get away with in us that you can't do in japan like flipping the bird in public
ОтветитьEscalator traffic tip:
Most places side to the left.
If in Kansai, most stand on the right.
If in Kyushu, free for all lol
Thank you!
ОтветитьQuick tip to make reading a possibility, learn Katakana. Almost every word you you come into contact with in Katakana will be an English loan word, so just knowing that will make it a lot easier to figure things out.
Good example, coin locker is コインロッカー(koin rokka), beer is ビール(biiru) etc.
Don't pass anything (including money) with one hand please. It's considered rude.
Ответить"deodorant is really hard to find in japan, cuz they don't really use deodorant. so don't be that smelly person on the train, bring your deodorant!" you just said they don't use deodorant, and somehow you think i would be that smelly person??
ОтветитьVery informative…me n my family coming in next month…..Seee U soon Japan😍😍😍😍😍😍👻👻
Ответитьif you are visiting you will not encounter any issues, just being a regular person...
ОтветитьDo you know anything about josei you fuuzoku?
ОтветитьThey don’t use deodorant but they sure do put out some strong BO. Some of the dudes on the trains smell like they don’t bathe for days
ОтветитьNumber one thing to not do and not be in Tokyo, just don't be a douche and you'll be golden. 😇 it's not that hard.
ОтветитьGonna go to Japan next year June-July with a buddy of mine planning to stay for 3-4 weeks and already very excited 😅😂 any additional first time Japan and long flight time tips?😅 (greeting from Germany 🙋🏻♂️)
ОтветитьKindness is my people, these are my people they take being kind to another level. Here in America nobody gives af if you're running late, throwing trash on the ground, and not putting your cart away after you leave a grocery store (that one is personal, like it's not that hard). 🥲
ОтветитьThese are excellent tips and hacks. ありがとうございます
ОтветитьIs the clicking something you have added?
Great video.
ni caso podeis hablar en los transportes ...pero normal...no alto
ОтветитьLeaving in 24 hrs to Nagoya. 9th trip to Japan!
ОтветитьVery informative video
ОтветитьGreat video but please don’t do the clicking noise at every transition it got really annoying to the point I had to stop watching halfway. Otherwise I love your videos!
ОтветитьThanks for this informative video. Arigatou go ZAI masu.
ОтветитьWe are bothered by the arrogant attitudes and poor manners of foreign tourists. Don't come to Japan!
ОтветитьOne thing I would like to add is that drinking alcohol outside is not illegal, but it is bad manners. Recently, outdoor drinking by foreigners has become more noticeable, so it will probably become illegal in the near future.
Ответитьdo you have links for suica and passmo for android
Ответитьis an ATM card necessary? Or just the suica?
ОтветитьArigato 🫶🙂
ОтветитьFor anyone watching in September 2023, at the moment the Suica cards are not available but the Welcome Suica is! I got mine from Haneda airport and it has been great! If you go the Suica app option it is only in Japanese! Hope they fix that soon, an English app would be great
ОтветитьI am coming to Japan next month for the first time. How easy it is to find a public restroom in Tokyo?
ОтветитьSuica card available now?
ОтветитьWhat will happen if they remove all trash cans in Amsterdam 😊 many need a training camp. 😮
ОтветитьJapanese are the biggest Racist on this planet! There are many shops and restaurants with no foreigners allowed posted on their doors and if you enter you will be yelled at to get out if you fail to do so you will be arrested. While My wife and I were there we were stopped and questioned several times by the police because we were foreigners. Meanwhile, the Japanese have no discrimination laws because they say there is no discrimination in Japan what a joke. Do not have a vacation in Japan you have been warned.
ОтветитьSis, thank you for everything. I am going to japan in a few days, and this video was really helpful. ✌🏻
Ответитьooo thank you for all these tips! I'm planning a solo japan trip which will be my first time on a plane in 7 years and my first time ever flying solo, and I am so nervous about having a luggage horror story - the airtag tip is so good
ОтветитьSUICA site says chip shortage means no cards... so... IDK. The welcome card may still work but no refund, so spend all your money. Also, There are 9 different areas, with different cards, SUICA is only for three areas, there are 8 more cards, in different areas of Japan.
Ответитьthanks for the tips, I'll be flying into Tokyo tomorrow at midnight and going to explore during my 16 hour layover.
ОтветитьI love how efficient your videos are. No distractions
Ответитьwill the suico card make life easier? is it necessary?
ОтветитьHello! Any travel insurance that you recommend?? 😬
ОтветитьSo they imitate us but we can’t say “huh” or “what” if we go over there?
ОтветитьInteresting experiences in Japan, nice details for a possible trip! 😇👌
I also have a video posted about this country (Japan) on my channel. 🔥
I bought/pay forJRPass from their website (I hope) and got an email with a reference number. Is that enough to get the real pass at Narita? People in US told me they received some paperwork via Fedex and they exchanged it at Narita? Am I in trouble? Thanks.
ОтветитьWhat the actual fuck is with the fucking mouse clicking sound?
ОтветитьGoogle translate is faster just open the camera inside the app and it translate in real time without taking pictures
ОтветитьHow’s Leo and your wife. Would like to see some recent photos
ОтветитьI like the fact that tipping is not the custom in Japan. For this reason I will not visit the USA where tipping I equate with extortion, not in Japan. I find the Japanese to be very hospitable, I appreciated the courtesy extended to me and hope I reciprocated it.
ОтветитьI enjoy your video contents. They are relatable, innovative and so refreshing , thank you
