What about the dummy sweep. Nothing is stopping him from grabbing your ankles and pushing with his legs.
ОтветитьAs soon as you stand up, I’m baby sweeping you
ОтветитьI am no black belt, but being in that bottom position, all I’m thinking about is grabbing your feet and trying to sweep you backwards by pushing you with my knees… right?
Ответитьhow to prevent leg attack while standing? either way--going to give a shot
Ответитьkeenan was on one this day...good shit homie in the words of Dana
ОтветитьHaha I trust this is the best way I never break guard doing the other method
ОтветитьThats jiu jitsu that’s what it is all about
- one getting uncomfortable
You are so right
ОтветитьI think if i did that my teacher is going to go for my leg..
What he tells me is try to get on top of him in a close guard position
Yeah I would leg lock tf out of you.
ОтветитьWhat? I learned that from the Gracie family and it works every single time for me.
ОтветитьLooks like a great way to mess up your back.
ОтветитьCould he not just attack with single legged x if you are close like that?
ОтветитьI'm sorry, but at least how you showed it here, there are 2 easy sweeps. One while you're leaning over them while standing, and one where you're standing straight up. If you don't control their arms while standing, you're f*** if they've been taught by someone that knows what they're doing.
ОтветитьI've never been taught the first thing in any gym lol
ОтветитьWill a can opener open the guard?
ОтветитьI’ve learned this several times, but how do you respond to the leg under hooks?
Ответитьwhen you stand up and let go of his arms he can now easily grab your legs
ОтветитьNext time I'm in closed guard and I don't try this I'm going for a Boston crab.
ОтветитьHow do you keep them from grabbing both of your ankles and pushing you back with his hips when you stand?
ОтветитьNooooo the sound is so low !!!
ОтветитьIf he or she grabs the ankles just kick it out or step back with one foot before he grads the ankles? I say yes this is a good one I did this one last night
ОтветитьThat works until they grab your ankles and rock you backwards. Nice video though.
ОтветитьWhat if the partner grabs ur heals while you post up and trips you?
Ответитьthis dude is funny as hell
ОтветитьI keep doing this escape but I keep getting tripped backward because they grab my ankles. Any tips?
ОтветитьI have begun to understand that I learned all this in KRAV MAGA along with a lot of other things. Jujitsu is excellent exercise and locally more classes are available than KG so I think I might be doing both in the near future.
ОтветитьWhen you stand up that's a perfect set up for a double ankle sweep?
ОтветитьWhat happens if they don’t got a gee something irl
ОтветитьWhat happens when he picks the ankles and ends up in mount? Not trying to sound condescending. Its happens pretty common in my school, whenever someone stands up sill in guard.
ОтветитьI’m dropping my guard right behind your knees once you stand and getting top mount….
ОтветитьO got sweep from my ankles 2 times in a row
ОтветитьI tried this a few times and each time I've just been grabbed behind the ankles kick down and mount me. I've only been doing bjj for a month any tips to prevent that?
ОтветитьImo the best thing in bjj is to try and tire out your opponent before making a move, especially in guard. Force then to keep their feet locked and constantly create pressure and have them work and always keep your elbows tight and push in on their waist. And then when your time is right and you feel that their legs and ankles are tiring out, the you posture up, reach your arm around one of their feet and force open their guard.
ОтветитьSorry Keenan…the old school method definitely can work if done properly. You conveniently left out some important details. Your method seems like a good method but you don’t have to rip on the old school technique.
ОтветитьThank you so much for this. Finally, no more worrying about what my opponent is going to think if I keep trying to knee them in the butt.
ОтветитьThis is great until you stand up and they open their guard and sweep at the ankles😂
ОтветитьVery similar to Mario Sperry's Vale Tudo guard pass.
Ответитьjujitsu is weird ... agreed ...
ОтветитьThe technique's NOT wrong the way you're doing it is 100% WRONG
NOT to waste time going into details but the very 1st 3 things he says are completely incorrect the way he speaks about the hand positioning wrong
up on the balls of his feet wrong knee being put there for Discomfort completely wrong it's a wedge
NOTHING to do with creating
discomfort your head leaning forward in front of your hips completely wrong so you can make anything look wrong if you don't know how to do it .
So going on record just say it is completely wrong well I'll go on record and I'll say most likely it's not his fault he was probably taught it incorrectly what do more research before you make such a strong comment calling things wrong is very dicey in the BJJ world can it be countered what can't? Can it be done correctly and does it work ABSOFUCKINGLUTLY .
its a matter of him demonstrating it incorrectly.
He is missing so many 8mportant details.
So the only thing wrong is the incorrect demonstration and the explanation.
Maybe considered a white belr technique but it still needs to be performed correctly.
Have seen it used and have personally used it countless times. No problems qtleast No more than any other technique everything has a counter especially when you don't know how to do it correctly.
Keep Studying keep training good luck
Is it a high level guard pass absolutely NOT does it work ABSOLUTELY it DOES.
Them joking about the poses once in a while is hilarious😂
ОтветитьAs soon as you stand they can just grab your ankles or transition to single leg x?
ОтветитьI was never taught what you say is being taught everywhere. But it’’s pretty lame when someone makes blanket statements about technique that good professors may or may not be teaching. Not you got a bunch of people that lost confidence in good professors, congratulations
Ответитьfor me, someone who also does powerlifting, i don't tend to find it difficult to stand up with my entire opponent, as long as they weigh 100 or less i can stand up with them, even when they have me in a tri choke
Ответить
