Sounds like a pack of the Michigan Dogman. So, I thought it’d be funny to freak out my German friend by playing the Dogman song as the two of us sat around the fire at my family’s cottage, alone, in the middle of nowhere/Dogman territory—except we both ended up terrified, hosing the fire with our last strands of composure, & running inside to lock up. Huddled in the middle of the room with all lights out, eyes panning the windows, we realized becoming armed would require a short trip outside & (same) decided it wasn’t worth it. All due to a song. Granted we were teenagers, but if we’d so much as seen eyes or heard ANYTHING…Idek

I'm thankful I have a wife that thinks like me and believes in keeping your guns at hand and easy to get to when needed. A gun does you no good if you can't get to it when you need it. Hopefully you never need them, but its nice to know you can access them when you need them. We also teach our kids gun safety and how to use them responsibly and safely.

Wow, i live about 35 minutes from Palmyra Maine and have lived in maine my whole 40 plus years and this is the first time I've heard about the Palmyra Maine werewolf. I'm kind of surprised i haven't heard about this before?!

Someone said that the creatures were most likely bears. I was kind of thinking that too.

As a person from a twin island in the Southern Caribbean, I cannot understand how Americans, Canadians, and people from other countries where bears and/or wolves live, function on a daily basis without perpetual anxiety.

If I ever migrate, it would have to be to Canada or Japan and I am always so worried about the new wildlife I would encounter; more so for Canada. I am a wee 4ft 11", 122lb woman. A bear or wolf would absolutely mistake me for some prey animal, lol.

I have heard this story from other sources and doubted it’s legitimacy, but with the extra details here it is clear they were attacked by something and bears don’t typically hunt in packs so I highly doubt it was that. Wolves don’t usually mess with humans unless someone has wandered into their territory and if they’re the culprit the detail about the den would classify as invading their territory. However the problem with this is that wolves don’t typically walk on their hind legs or jump onto rooftops. As far as I’m aware the family hasn’t received anything but harsh criticism from the community on their story and have been ridiculed by the public at large, they had nothing to truly gain from scratching up their new home and moving quickly despite this house supposedly being their only option. I don’t know what they encountered, but whatever it was is unprecedented, no creatures we know of match these characteristics and it’s doubtful the entire story is made up. It would be interesting to investigate the area and see if history repeats itself although I don’t want to be part of that team lol 😂

At first I thought maybe skinwalkers but I feel like they would try to lure them out so they were Definitely not skinwalkers but maybe werewolves? But I doubt it I heard something called smoke wolves which are just massive big black wolves which indeed exist so i think they were smoke wolves (which are just massive black wolves so not a cryptid).
