So same sensation with the irons? even short irons? I've been struggling with my short irons lately (of all things to struggle with). I think my short iron swing is getting too long.

Great tip, Danny,. Thank you. Having a tough time over the last month with consistency and couldn’t right the ship. Used this on every full swing this morning and shot my best round of the year, 82. Simple and effective.

I watch your videos daily to try to get consistency in my approach to the swing. I'm THAT guy who sprays it all over and never sure where it is going... especially off the tee. Thank you for what you do here for all of us golfers trying to improve. I was typically a mid 90s player and now am consistently in the mid to upper 80s... next goal is lower 80s and better consistency. Thanks for what you do for us.

I'm coming back to the game after a hip replacement a couple of years ago. A former low handicapper, once I picked up my clubs again a few months ago, I found that I couldn't swing how I used to and have been forced to return to fundamentals. With a lot of work, I finally got a groove in my swing back, but I felt as if I was getting screwy at the top of my swing and didn't know how to fix it. Then I saw this video, started learning the feel of a solid takeaway, and now everything is starting to fall into place! I still have lots more work to do (I have a tendency to come over the top) but I wanted to take the time to thank you for this lesson! It has really helped me groove my swing!

Thank you for this video. I applied it today and it was very helpful. Most drives found the fairway and I felt more confident over the ball. You do a great job simplifying the swing.

I like this drill of paying attention to what you're doing with the right hand. I notice that you're very consistent with holding your spine angle. Are you mindful of your spine angle, and set of your hips? I like what you're saying about don't try to stick the club into certain positions, just keep it smooth and natural, but I worry sometimes that I'm not holding the spine angle coming into the top of the backswing. Thanks.

Wanna get good hit 3-4 hundred shots everyday doesn’t matter the club but alternate and that’s the dillS you need have a good one folks this isn’t a bad drill but it’s more than one thing hahaha

Does this take away transfer to irons ?

Mr. Maude, I need to work on this drill for sure however I need additional support on what the final sequence looks like. I appreciate that we need to initiate the swing in the proper sequence but the completion of said swing appears to be a given for most. NOT for me. I need to have that vision/picture of the proper continuation at-and-POST-contact. At 69, my range of motion may be somewhat restricted but that's not an excuse for proper form. Thank you Sir!

Wondering if it’s because I’m 52? Or cuz I’m a 265 pound weightlifter lacking any flexibility? Missing something in the takeaway? Or little bit of all 3?

Danny I need help with my driver,

I am a beginner golfer. I get very good distance with my driver for a beginner, 180-230 yards. The problem I run into is after I strike the ball, the ball flight is straight until the very end of the flight it spins right.

I am right handed golfer using a regular flex Cobra driver. I have tried to close the club face, even over exaggerating and twisting the club face in more, and I still have the same issue.

What shaft is that!?

I’m sorry to call you out but this really contradicts the video of curling the dumbbell at start of swing you even indicate the club starts out on a angle blended with the turn. This makes more sense when clubs parallel then fold the right elbow as doing a curl. The other motion did feel like a loop to me. Thou I hit many good shots it was inconsistent I’ll try this instead. Thx

Hey Danny, i noticed that you "stack" on the ball instead of having it positioned foward in your stance. You also dont put any pre-tilt or turn into your set up. Could explain why your setup is this way or if there are any detriments to the opposing setups?
