Hello. I noticed you did not put the second plunger. Is it not necessary?
Ответитьhi caddy daddy. I am having a problem with my cater afb 4bbl. with choke set and high idle engaged I get the carb to kicdown to 2nd step. my problem is that when choke is open car won't let off fast idle until I loosen tension on choke spring which allows butterfly to open. could choke plate be incorrect or is simply an adjustment to choke spring tension or choke rod to allow butterfly to kick fully open when choke is open
ОтветитьI really appreciate you taking the time to post videos. They are very helpful and I look forward to doing business with you. Jason
Ответитьvery informative. thanks
ОтветитьWorked on the same carb for same 64 convertible today. I like your style 😊 what setting did you use for the idle air?
ОтветитьGood instruction. This was the best available instruction for this 59 Caddy. However, your hands are in the way of the float adjustment and the camera was too far away from the object. This is my first time of rebuilding a 4 barrel of any kind and for the most part could not see any fine detail. Camera should have been looking over your shoulder much like a student would be watching. P.S. I don't have a shop manual, nor could I find one in short order, or the time allowed.
Ответитьawesome video, thank you for the information.
ОтветитьDefinitely helpful. Rebuilding the AFB on my 1960 Series 62 now and did not mark the secondary boosters when I removed them so I wasn’t sure how they went back in. I could see that the holes under them were different sizes so they were left/right specific but I had not set them in there yet so I didn’t know about the notch.
ОтветитьMine has the big air screw in the center front. Should I back that out 1.5 turns too?
