Burning is horrible.. But i don't see how it is worse just because the flames are invisible?

Really they could create additives, that burn visible with out total obstruction. Could have fire goggles to see heat for the fire hazard staff... additive could be useful... but imo... a dunk tank should be near you can jump in or flush yourself... near x... you can make garments change colour when on fire... so you can see.

This is one horrific notion. I never knew that ethanol burned so differently. Never learned that in school or later. And since i dont work with it, never learned about it later.
The sight of a fire, it's bright orange, yellow and red colors, the emitting smoke, it activates a primal fear in you. (An uncontrolled fire)
The fact you can't see it in regular lighting conditions, is absolute terrifying. Good lord...

For some reason I was reminded of the universal signal for choking- in pretty much any country you can non-verbally communicate that you are choking by sort of gesturing the wrapping of hands around one’s neck. Simple things like developing a signal for “I’m actively on fire from methanol” seems like a beneficial safety measure that is easy to implement.

Since methanol is 38% carbon,compared to gasoline which has I think 98% carbon.Methanol does not have enough carbon to burn produce a fire but very dim and transparent.Making it much harder to see compared to gasoline.
