the absurdity rank could have 20 plus scenes from the holy grail. My favorite as a kid was the killer rabbit...there is the scene where Tim says, "some people call me...tim" My favorite scene now is when the knight comes in to save the prince from being forced to get married and kills almost everyone in the wedding party and stops on the stairs to chop the flowers on the wall lol. The scene where the french men launch a cow off the top of the castle. The end scene where the police show up and arrest all of the knights for murder...even the opening credits are just absolutely absurd...if anyone but monty python would have gotten the slot for absurdity...it would be absurd.

I missed Michael Palin on this list. Not even a mention en passant. The "Bigus Dickus" sceene on The Life of Brian, and the stuttering scene at the end of A Fish Called Wanda, are some of the greatest comedy sceenes in cinema history. But it seems you guys prefer American films.

I saw the remake of The Manchurian Candidate instead of Princess Bride as a midnight movie. There were five of us, two guys, three gals and us guys wanted to see Princess Bride and the girls wanted Denzel Washington. We were voted down. That would have been the greatest theater experience ever. Instead we saw a rather forgettable remake.

Yo I'm drunk in Japan watching this... after 13 plus years of experience in the industry, I just want to say-
1. Dont let them rush you. It's possible you've filmed a bunch of these ahead of time, but the ADr on this sounds like you were rushing a bit to get it done. Your voice acting is still stellar. But, it definitely sounds like, they dropped a script in front of you before you were supposed to go home and you didn't have a say in the matter. I've been there, it sucks. |

2. They better be paying you. Cineflix got bought out by IGN like BOX Office Mojo got bought out by IMDB. And unlike BOM, CIneFlix still has it's mojo... but be careful not to let it tread into Watch Mojo territory. Don't get pimped for the sake of numbers and a huge platform getting bigger.

3. ... I forgot 3... maybe it was formality? Trying to connect so much with millennials? O shit... this was released years ago... still applies. lol Bye

Orfeo's Humor Conundrum: a double-blinded placebo study
Abstract: 343 jokes were told in English to various groups of people (total population sample 1,977). Groups were divided as follows: people awake, people who did not understand English (the placebo group), and people who were asleep (the control group; as this group's participants slept with both eyes closed, this was the double-blinded part). Participants graded each joke on a scale of 1 to 10 from "super funny" to "disgusting." An objective scale based on volume of laughter and intermittent gagging sounds was included in the assessment of the joke's value. The simplified formula used is
S(sub n) + hAhA(dB)/ugH(dB)
In plain English, the scale number is added to the difference of the laugh decibel level divided by the disgust decibel level. (To ensure no division by zero, the decibel levels included background sounds, such as drinking, yawning, and roller blading.)
The following conclusions were based on the calculated results:
Orfeo's Humor Conundrum: Every joke, no matter how funny, will be offensive to someone somewhere sometime.
Orfeo's Humor Conundrum Reversal: Every joke, no matter how offensive, will be funny to someone somewhere sometime.

I think you missed something in My Girl Friday. Cary Grant clearly knows the old man isn't Friday's fiancé. Her reaction when he starts pretending to think he IS is the giveaway. She gets the joke and essentially rolls her eyes, "You do you." Still, a great scene.

His Girl Friday would have been So Great For Goofing On Oneself In Reality, In A Movie. The 2 In This Movie are When Cary Grant (Walter Burns) has to Describe The Ralph Bellamy Character (Bruce), Saying, He Looks Like That Fellow In The Movies, Ralph Bellamy. LOL. The Other Is When Grant Says, The Last Guy That Said That To Me Was Archie Leach (Cary Grant's Real Life Name, before He Changed It), A Week Before He Cut His Throat. LOL

The funniest thing about this video is that you think you know funny.
#10: not funny at all, should never have made the cut.
#9: Just OK
#8: Definitely in the running
#7: Thumbs down in the context of "funniest"
#6: Again, Not funny at all. Maybe it was in the past, much lower standards then.
#5: Loser
#4: I don’t get it???
#3: Not funny out of context
#2: Not even close
#1: Too old. The one with Lucy and Harpo was so much better,

Whomever made this list does not know funny.
Most of the snippets were way funnier than those that made the list.

@erinharkiewicz7239 - 02.12.2022 07:13

Kind of hard to take this video seriously when you COMPLETELY missed the joke in His Girl Friday. There is no mistaken identity by Cary Grant. He knows the old man isn’t the fiancé. He’s simultaneously (1) being sort of an ass and (2) winking at Hildy over his shoulder and laughing at himself for being sort of an ass. Which is Walter to a tee. The thing that makes the scene work is (1) poor innocent stupid Bruce Baldwin falling for it and (2) Hildy just not having it

It’s sort of ridiculous for you to sit here spouting theories of humor when you fundamentally misunderstood one of your top 10 examples.

Sorry, but you missed the point in "His Girl Friday": Cary Grant KNEW the old man wasn't the new fiancee, he was doing this to roast/disrespect the fiancee and tease his ex-wife.
