They need those reactions and that distress to create real drama out of visceral emotions & manipulated situations. All while underpaying and under serving to make themselves richer. It’s unhinged how out of hand it can all be to produce, produce, produce.
ОтветитьBethany Frankel is one of the few speaking out about this.
ОтветитьI had no idea it was like this. It sounds horrible. I feel bad that everyone going tru this they dont know until they are already there. 😢 I'm glad you're bringing this to light. This has to stop.
Ответить7 dollars an hour …. And the producers are making millions
ОтветитьI love how Netflix made it a MISSION to show that they feed the cast in this last season. They were constantly filmed eating. LIB production is trash 😂
ОтветитьUnethical!
ОтветитьWas he not allowed to quit?
ОтветитьThey’re absolutely right, and I am on the workers side always, but where else do you get water if not from a faucet? Tap water is perfectly fine unless there’s something wrong with it.
ОтветитьAMAZING !
Ответить"You signed up for this" is a terrible thing to say to someone who went through something difficult. It makes them shut down, and stop expressing their feelings.
ОтветитьWe all agree to all of that, so why complain now?
ОтветитьSo glad y’all are doing this. God bless you
ОтветитьWow after seeing this I really don't think I want to watch love is blind or any of these shows anymore. And to be honest with you this last season of Love is Blind was so horrible. Only one couple got married and stayed married the rest of them probably just supcom to all the exploitation and drama that was going on behind the scenes that we didn't even know about
ОтветитьOMGGG insane
Ответить🔥🔥🔥🔥
ОтветитьSo this is why Netflix switched to so many reality content. It's just super cheap and you have to pay people even less than writers and actors get.
ОтветитьThis doesn’t surprise me at all.
I always say the other similar show “Married at First Side” is built on human abuse. It literally feels like “the experts “ pick the couples who are LEAST likely to get along (super frugal fireman and a Gucci girl? Two control freaks?) just for viewers enjoyment. Because that ensures DRAMA! But it’s playing with people’s lives, literally. It ruins some of the contestants emotionally and they take a long time to recover. The relationship success rate of these shows is ridiculously low (under 5-10%?) but the views are oh so high!!
Interesting, have any of the girls that have been part of the show come forward?
ОтветитьThey must've made some changes because in season 5, there was a ton of food and water available in the pods and in the lounge, as well as the contract being changed to being fined 50k if you leave at any point after the honeymoon. As for the no phones etc, that's kind of silly because that is the whole point. You're cut off from the rest of the world with no distractions.
ОтветитьFame comes with pain n torture..stop moaning now!
ОтветитьI just received a message on LinkedIn from a casting associate producer asking if I'm single and interested in playing a role on Love Is Blind, which I had never even heard of. Does UCAN support people who are considering signing up/auditioning for this show?
ОтветитьFood and water??? I would’ve left I can’t go with out food and water and be around people all day everyday
ОтветитьThis is one of the dumbest things i’ve ever seen in my life
ОтветитьNo matter how much the relationship between Lydia and Milton will last, it will be hugely beneficially for both. Lydia will start to learn behave like a lady and hold her emotions in place,Milton will have great sex and will become emotionally more aware.
ОтветитьThere is an interview out there of a reality TV producer gives examples and brags about their line of questioning. The few minutes he was showing the process was really disgusting. Hard to believe how sinister their manipulation and shocking to witness how far they would go..
ОтветитьIt's an experiment that these guys signed up for..... they basically are using people for Guinea pigs and because people are fame hungry. This is the price you pay
ОтветитьOfficially never watching Love is Blind again
ОтветитьOkay so what do the lovely Nick and Vanessa think of this!? They’re part of the problem!
How awful, I hate the show now and will never watch again.
I stopped watching this show because it was so toxic!
ОтветитьYoh am so glad they're doing this. S5 was the first Time i watched Love is Blind. Won't watch the before and definitely won't watch the next.
ОтветитьSo glad. I always feel a heavy weight watching shows like Love is Blind, because you can see how extreme the emotions get from being so isolated and deprived. It feels like it's something I shouldn't be watching, and I just want to hug everyone lol.
ОтветитьHUNGER GAMES
ОтветитьI knew that panic attack scene was weird and something felt really off about it. This is a really important message, too.
ОтветитьVery interesting
ОтветитьIt’s very scary to see that in many reality tv shows in many countries they make them
Drink a lot and sleep less and they don’t feed them enough to have them very emotional …
If you wanna see how a set probably operates, you should check out the show Unreal. It’s basically a shower of how executive producers do certain things to trigger the reality stars and how they hide certain aspects which should be reported. It’s a really good show
ОтветитьI’m starting to think all reality shows should be banned. It’s not reality if all the cast are being abused mentally. So hard to see a show now knowing it’s basically scripted.
ОтветитьI love when actors come out on what REALLY happens behind reality TV shows
ОтветитьYikes!! That is not OK!
ОтветитьWOW!! Very good! I’ve always thought this show NEEDED mental health therapist on property through this process.
ОтветитьWhen he said you don't see daylight, I immediately felt my body start to feel claustrophobic and anxious. Had to pause the video to remind myself that I was not also in that situation... But ugh, I feel for these people. I actually stopped watching LIB after this season because I had thought it would be different than the other reality shows. But I could see the distress of the people, and have always wondered, "Why don't they bring in a therapist? And actually help these relationships succeed, if that's what they really want?"
ОтветитьThat’s super interesting so basically you’re still treated like actors
ОтветитьBest of Luck!
This is a great idea and your focus on human rights in reality tv is very much needed!
Ok, now imagine how porn actresses are treated.
ОтветитьSounds a lot like the NAVY lol
ОтветитьDO NOT READ IF YOU HAVE NOT WATCHED THE NEW SEASON OF LOVE IS BLIND 2023! ~ A person is known as Aaliyah in the new season of Love is Blind. My heart is breaking to know she will be $50,000 in debt just because she decided to leave a toxic situation where her mental and emotional health was being jeopardized.
ОтветитьThis brings my mind back to my American Idol experience and how traumatizing that was. It's weird because I took part in 6 and 7 I didnt realize the trauma until recently.
Ответить12ish years ago I met a woman who directed reality TV shows and she gave me an example of how they would get people on TV to fight each other. She had a can of coke in her hand and was like “it would be like if I told you to hold onto this coke and don’t let anyone take it away from you or else we’ll kick you off the show, then went and told your boyfriend that he needs to get that can of coke from you or else we’ll kick him off the show.” She explained it like it was an interesting technique and not a sociopathic way of making money. She was probably the richest person I’ve ever had a conversation with.
ОтветитьThe poor treatment of people on set, not having access to food, fresh air etc. contributes to hostile environments. If this is their intent, for views and profit, that’s really dark. I’m glad LIB is getting exposed.
ОтветитьTHIS IS AMAZING!!! I have been following love is blind since it aired in 2020 and was fascinated about what ACTUALLY went on behind the scenes as so much is cut out. I read in a recent post that the director states that whilst you in the pods you could get whatever food you liked. Stating the pods were full stocked. Sounds like a blatant lie to me.
I'm based in South Korea where us foreign entertainers in tv are treated like true dirt. NO contracts , MINIMAL pay and treated like total puppets. It's AMAZING to see you guys taking a stand. My hope is that we can start doing the same here in Korea as the Korean entertainment industry gets bigger so will the exploitation and violations.
