ОтветитьYour video makes absolutely no sense. You state the 1grm per pound of body weight is not correct because you don’t want to support fat, just lean body weight. For example 150 lbs 24% bf = 114 lbs. however, you go on to say that a more accurate way would be one to 1.4 g of protein per lean bodyweight. In this example 1.4 g times 114 pounds of lean bodyweight would be 159 g of protein per day, which is actually more than 1 g per pound 🤦🏻♂️

ОтветитьI ate 2.2 g of protein per kg when bulkikg up . And 2.5 when cutting.Great numbers! If you are very fat eat 2g of protein per kg you want to achieve.For example if you are 100 kg and you wanna be lean at 70 eat 140g to 170 g of protein daily

The required amounts of protein for people varied between 0.5-0.8 g per kg, so the guideline was 0.8 to play safe and include everyone. 0.8g per kg of bodyweight is OVER the basic needed amount for 97.5% of people. So how will they waste away? Starting with a lie in your statement makes me disregard the rest

1.4 grams per LEAN (115lbs) lbs = 160 grams

I got 170g when calculating off of LBM. It seems like a lot.
Maybe I can get in 100g on a day with good sized meals. After that I'd still have to chug around 3 protein shakes to get 170g.
Maybe if I'm a big body builder it's not a lot, but for a guy doing a more casual training to gain some muscle mass and strength it seems a lot.
I've noticed the same on all calculator I've tried.

ОтветитьI try to shoot for 150g a day. If you’re active with weekly weights and cardio you need to be body slamming protein. Drink shakes, eat yogurt, and do whatever to load yourself with protein. Your muscles aren’t gonna grow themselves 😄💪🏽

ОтветитьI would love to see average Joe gym goer choke down 124-173 grams of protien a day. He won't be able to sustain it. I eat about 3/4 pound of 80/20 hamburger, 3-4 eggs and 24 grams of protein shake a day. I take in between 85-105 grams of protien a day. Leucine is the key. 4 grams daily along with 5 grams creatine daily. I jacked my protien up to 130 and my blood tests were whacked out. I pissed a lot of protien/money in the toilet!

ОтветитьHe dosent know where the 1.0 grams per lb of body weight came from. I'll tell you where. It's came from the same companies trying to sell you protien shakes lol. This 1.0 g formula is very dubious since it encourages you to spend alot more money on they're product

Ответить1g per kg is way too much, I don't have time in the day to eat this much protein, its just too much and I'm exercising every day, its just exaggerated, I still think that around 1.2g per KG is the best
ОтветитьI like to get around 1 gram of "HIGH quality" protein per 1 pound of body weight and the rest can be plant-based protein like oats and veggies so i weight 170lbs at 15%bf i take in 170g of animal-based protien sources and the extra 30 grams of protein i take in comes from my vegetables i take in around 190-200 grams each day
ОтветитьWhat if you are intermittent fasting? Is it good enough to get the proper amount of protein per day in one or two meals? And this is if you are not trying to be a bodybuilder but simply get lean and build muscle.

Ответитьitt all depends on HOW HARD YOU TRAIN!!! & HOW MANY DAYS!! FOR 150 LB TRAING 5 to 6 days a week 1.6 grams or 240grams & on HEAVY DAYS 300 GRAMS ,,,vitamins &ADD BANNANAS ,,APPLE,,BLUEBERRY,,SPINACH,,NUTS,,etccc to 2 to 3 protien drinks per day
