How Do I Remove a Trustee?

We live in the UK not the US or Florida and I have been shocked at how Trustees have told us we have no rights to information.  No rights to the information to check what they are doing.  So we have to pay extortionate fees to pay another solicitor to check on the first ones who refuse to be transparent about our fathers finances.  How can people of simple means do that?

What if they are not taking care of the person on the trust but instead taking all the money to support this person for themselves and making others support her with their own money?
