The thing with the eggs being refrigerated in the US is because in the US the eggs get washed before sale. In Germany and most parts of Europe eggs are not washed.
Washing removes the protective coating and opens up pores. This lets bacteria to infiltrate the egg shell easily. Once you wash them they must be refrigerated. And once they are refrigerated you cannot store them at room temp because condensation would further promote shell permeability.

I love the German supermarket videos. Also, I love your home with the cozy little rooms always waiting for you when you come home. It reminds me of my parents home when I would come home. The small bar in basement is like ours. Now it’s all gone. I miss it. You are very fortunate. Try not to take it for granted. I suggest you stay home in Deutschland as long as possible. “A man travels the world over in search of what he needs and returns home to find it.”

Now this is everything I could wish! Mom, shopping, dinner, and GOGO! Man, I can't express what a great vibe he brings to your videos-and his mom is charming, which does not surprise me. I have a small garden and we have the same problem with slugs-they are called slugs here-snails without shells-thought yours are much larger than ours. And yes, BEER is their kryptonite! Gogo knows!

God how I miss Germany. The people, food, culture, Christmas traditions… I could go on and on.
Please eat a Frickadelle, Bratwurst, Schnitzel, Käsespätzle, Fleischkäse, tonns of Brötchen and don’t forget the Döhner (macht schöner 🤩)
