Congratulations ❤
ОтветитьCheck out one of the O'Kellys first video's where they compare 5 catamarans. They sea trail one of these. The bridge deck clearance isn't great and it slams accordingly...
ОтветитьWhat's the bridge deck clearance?
ОтветитьI like this 🐈
ОтветитьI'm sorry but from now on I'm watching the videos of this channel on mute. The couple seem like nice people but they say very uninteresting and pointless things during their walkthroughs. (Like: they "went ahead" and added a few feet to the sugar scoup and it makes it sail better, "which is good".) Unfortunately many of their videos have these unthoughtful comments. Makes me and I believe many other viewers want to watch something else. Having said that all other aspects of the videos of this channel are very good. Good video quality. Interesting sailboats. The walkthroughs are usually thorough but not over the top. Good stuff. Many reasons to watch.
ОтветитьCongrats on baby 👍👍
ОтветитьI guess for your American viewers this video is "super' but for the more mature international audience your presentation style is rather poor. Jordan should narrate and present the videos Randi has such an irritating voice. I am sorry I just cannot listen to her voice.
ОтветитьThere is an important relation ship between the beam and the bridge deck clearance. The wave pattern on a wider hulls is different so where the waves come together makes a difference where they hit the bridge deck and this also related to the speed .....so way more to consider that just the clearance.
ОтветитьReally not a fan of this one. There seems to be a lot of overlooked issues in the design (the lack of deck access to the bow lockers as an example, and the what looked like abysmal access to the engine compartments). It seems fairly inefficient in its use of space too. This could all just be due to it being such an old design though, cat design has improved a LOT in the last 25 years. As for this specific example, it looks like it's been run hard and put away wet. The "hidden" parts (meaning the areas like the engine compartments, storage lockers, etc... ) are showing much more realistic condition as compared to the easily visible stuff that is usually shined up nicely for sale. Asking price seems pretty high overall, but I suppose the typical used boat purchasing tactic is to massively underbid, so you could probably get into it at a fair price if it was up your alley. Of course, since this video came out they have reduced the price pretty heavily already, so they obviously just want it gone, which means you might even be able to get it for a really good price.
ОтветитьWhat is the point if you don't tell us the price?
ОтветитьWhat about the fourth bed behind the mirror in the suite? Didn't show it!
ОтветитьVery utilitarian. Not much design flair especially in the berth's.
ОтветитьYou could put something under the teak at the enterance, to raise it up.
Ответитьyou guys are a very sweet couple. you matched perfectly. i love randi's way of delivering her sentences which is very clear, not fast and im sure students really lover her teaching style. jordan, i luv your clean cut look better. luv luv your vids. pls keep them coming. more power to you both and the congrats to the new sailor coming.
ОтветитьCongratulations. This is going to be an exciting new time. 😉
ОтветитьBy the way this catamaran amazing I think it's made for U2. You should get this one I really like it.😊
ОтветитьAww congratulations to you both 🎉❤
ОтветитьIm in a wheelchair and will never be able to afford a catamaran, especially not a bluewater live aboard, but i cant get enough of your videos. You guys are awesome and give great practical information. Love your channel, keep it up please. And Congratulations on the new crew member :)
ОтветитьNot partial to this boat. Terribly uncatamaran in it's usefulness. The only reason I'd buy a cat is additional room. This is so tight as to remove it from consideration.
ОтветитьThanks for posting and sharing. Nice boat, and boat tour.
Ответить🙏❤❤
ОтветитьI know a baby bump when I see one. Sorry to speculate a week or so ago. Congrats.
ОтветитьBest catamarans out there .
ОтветитьVery good looking boat. 329???? well that is asking price. Very nice performance ride though.
ОтветитьCongratulations you two!
ОтветитьFor the last couple of months when I fine out it's another boat tour I just don't watch the episode. I just thought that I would let you know how at least one of your followers feels, not mad but just tired of them. Thank you for still being here though.
ОтветитьSo now we know what you guys were doing with your spare time during the lockdown !!!
ОтветитьLarge greenwater washing into the cockpit will flood the salon and, eventually, run down into the hulls
ОтветитьHow can you find the price
Ответитьspoke to an american couple in Sweden many yers ago that had a Norseman 43. I had an FP Athena 38 at the time and when we spoke I had been out sailing in some horrendous weather and did not have any problems, they had to go for shelter as the low bridge deck caused so much pounding that they where afraid something would break. I had a look underneath the boat and saw the flat underside with very little clearance. Would not do anything but coastal cruising with that boat.
And also they had problems with leakages in the massive saloon windows, the flexing of the boat combined with the size was the skippers idea of the problem. Also the size and angle made for massive "greenhouse effect" inside. Would not have that boat!
Remarkably well kept boat for something that is 20 years old but if your going to spend $330,000 on a fast catamaran you can get something like a Seawind which is half the age of this boat, with all the design Innovations that happened over those ten years. That said this is still a lot of boat for the money. I would have a surveyor take a really good look at the sugar scoop extension though, because you often get issues after a few years unless the extension was done to a very high standard.
ОтветитьRigging looks small
ОтветитьLooks like somebody has a stowaway onboard.
ОтветитьWOW ...CONGRATULATIONS. Can't wait to see who you have. ♥️
ОтветитьCongrats you two!!!
ОтветитьCongratulations to you both.great video 👍🏻
ОтветитьNice boat, and congratulations!
ОтветитьLower center of gravity = More slamming ?
ОтветитьThats why its a catamaran, not a catamarant.
ОтветитьI want to sell my house and buy this. Oh wait... Their asking price is more than my house is worth... a lot more... never mind... 😥
ОтветитьLove this cat. If I was going to buy one this is the best so far. Would love to see how it's set up under water.
ОтветитьCongratulations and nice cat
ОтветитьFast passage maker right here.
ОтветитьLow bridge deck means lot of slapping and the motion of those cats in the open ocean in rough seas is very uncomfortable. That being said for a young couple at that price I’ll deal with the slapping and discomfort I like this cat they are tough to find
Ответитьcongratulations on the baby bump
ОтветитьTime to update the description of your channel
ОтветитьJust because you can does not mean you should. Consider what it will be like to be a Bum on a Boat. No Family, friends, neighborhood, food choices, entertainment choices, limited closets, continual maintenance, etc, etc, etc.
ОтветитьFair deal for a nice cat. The gelcoat interior and numerous step-over bulkheads will be a turnoff for many, but that makes for a strong easy care boat.
Not having bow hatches is fine with me because it means no bow hatch problems. When you sail that fast you stuff the bows through lots of blue water. Tight interior access to clean space beats outdoor access to damp dirty space. I think the tanks were klutsy installs -waste of space.
