Bluelight sounds like Green Beret CRF teams the Army disbanded them a few years ago because they weren't worth the cost.

Blue Light was deactivated but it did not go away. It changed names and expanded throughout USSF to CIF, CRF, and HTDC among other names over the years. Numerous "project" teams associated with SF have come (some still around) and gone. Like MACV-SOG (which had dozens of sub-projects and programs). Green Light, RST, Grizzly Hitch, RAT and RSE. Just like there are also SFOD-E, SFOD-F, SFOD-G, and SFOD-H are all sub-units of SF. But no info is floating around about any of them. I am sure someone will attempt to look up this laundry list.

What about Katie Bradford, a member of blue light, just over 5 feet, an intelligence operator, and a butt kicker. The first female in special forces.

Normally I would not comment. You are pretty close. During Vietnam there were five special forces operating groups. There was MAC SOG, Blue Light,, Phoenix, Mars, and Navy Seals The problem with fiquring time lines of combinations is the data is still classified. As Delta grew certain teams were assigned FBI agents, who were trained.

This is what makes delta diffrent from other tier one units is it doesn't need any one else to operate logistics intelligence they are a complete stand alone unit

So how were they better?

Eagle Claw was screwed from the get-go, Politicians were making decisions, but out of that failure the 160th SOAR and JSOC were developed, which Beckwith tried to get started before Eagle Claw but was blocked politically. Anytime you get Big Gov involved, they screw it, look at Gas cans, they made them almost unusable.

And I still think that the one unit that could have been on par with Delta, was Det-A Berlin, the only unit qualified for CT and urban CI, also involved in Op Eagle Claw!
