Can My Thoughts Limit the Holy Spirit?

Excellent message. But I have a question. If a person thinks about and fully intends to carry out an act they know is sinful and against God’s will, how can they come before the Father and ask for forgiveness? They thought about what they were going to do, planned everything out, knowing it was sinful, and did it anyway.

This sermon was an awesome sermon that allows me as a christian, to realize how deeply our thoughts truly affect our faith in God and the holy spirit. Dr. David Jeremiah is a very awesome preacher that seems to catch my attention within every sermon i have watched from him.

We as people need to strive to allow the holy spirit to guide and direct us into the path that is meant for us! it is such an exiting journey to want to begin. I struggle and have always struggled with over thinking and worrying about school or family matters, i have worried about losing loved ones at times, never find true love, you name it,,,, but as I live it is like each day i am constantly reminded from the holy spirit within me to keep going and to encourage others when they are down and try to help others even when i am struggling because it creates a sefl-less path for yourself,,, my reason is this : once you start to focus on other people and helping others in desperate need, the focus on one's self will start to slowly fade, leaving hardly any room for negative thoughts about life, or one's self at times.. staying busy and helping others in need has always made me feel happy because it is something i sincerely enjoy, but often times when i am busy i tend to not think so negative on life,,, staying busy helps,, obviously one will think negatively at times, one should understand that we are all human and we all will make mistakes at different point in times in our lives,, another good thing to tel yourself daily is that no one is perfect nor better than another. we all sin and we all fall short of being god-like at times..

God will see you trying, he knows your heart, he sees the work you are putting in,,,, let him guide and lead you into the path that he has created for you !!!!!!!!!!
The peace that Dr. David Jeremiah talks about within this sermon truly had a positive effect on me for sure. reason is because God allowed me to go through and experience something before that really opened my eyes and after so much prayer about that siutaton, one realized how powerful God truly is,, God will bring you out of anything that you pray aboout,, but first you have to want to come out of the misery or over thinking or truama, with proper actions taken with God involved, it will come to pass!! it is truly a beautilful journey to live when God is present within one's life. that peace feeling is something unexplainable for sure as Dr. David Jeremiah says ! hope this opens someones' mind up or helps in any kind of way ..

They were all filled with the Holy Spirit

On the day of Pentecost they were all filled with the Holy Spirit as the spirit give them utterances.

We have to speak in tongue to be filled with the Holy Spirit.

Not so far from the surface is a feeling of dread ,in my finances and spiritual life.may god have mercy on me for not following what is right and sound in my own heart and following others who i thought were smarter than i.i pray and repent for my sins ,in the name of the lord amen

I believe your wrong in teaching people that you can be a Christian and live like the wirld ,thats not what my Bible says and Sir I have your Bible. You love Jesus and walk according to his word or you don't. You cannot be saved and live like the world.

If it were true that every Christian has the Holy Spirit then why did Paul ask the gentlemen if they received the Holy Spirit since they believed? They said they had never even heard of a Holy Spirit. He asked by which name were they baptized, etc. They later received the Holy Spirit because they believed.

The disciples received the Holy Spirit at different times than from when they believed or were baptized. They walked with Jesus without the Holy Spirit because the Holy Spirit wouldn’t come until Jesus died.

Please don’t be fooled to believe the Holy Spirit is automatically given, especially when many Christians are daily following after their own desires, lusts, and “freedoms”, not walking in the liberties God has extended as True Freedom.

Ask God to deliver his word to your heart in a way that you can truly understand and believe and watch Him work!
