Bruce are you aware of the work of the late Neurophysiologist Dr John Lorber from England who found over 100 people with the congenital condition called extreme hydranencephaly, where there is NO DEFINABLE residual brain tissue. If you look at the brain scans of people born with this condition you will find they have no brain. This torpedoes the claim that the brain is generating consciousness. I believe you are closer to the truth when you told us in your seminal book The Biology of Belief that every cell is conscious?
