Whats the benefit of sowing them in one pot first? Why not directly into the small starter pots?

Why didn't u just start with the individual containers?

This seems like too much unnecessary work. Eliminate the seedling tray and the plug tray. Overseed the grow bag instead. As seedlings come up, keep the bigger and stronger ones, Pluck out the weaker ones until the desired spacing is achieved.

Hello I’m in southern ca and I looked up my zone and it’s 9, 10. It gets very hot here and we are going into our summer months. Is it possible for basil to grow in this climate? I love vas it and always Al want to grow it and just had my husband buy me some seeds. Thank you for your help.

Hello, I started growing my basil seeds indoors in some direct but mostly indirect sunlight, because it was still cold and windy outside (NM). But now I am seeing all my seedlings are leggy. So now i am putting them out in the sun. How many hours do I put? Is there anything else I can do? I hope I have not ruined them 😔.

One thing love about basil is , evrytime you pinch remove leaves it grows back double .
My basil plants are now 12 inch in diameter and 15 inch high , all from little seed , I add it to my sandwiches and pasta all the time fresh . love it
