Do you nutnicks have any idea what on God's not so green anymore Earth Putin's regime could've done to Ms.Netrebko's family had she denounced and publicly spoken out against her native Russia?

I don't want to know the States or the Met Opera after how they treated, sorry, abused, degraded and berated, demeaned on the most beloved names and icons in music history, beloved by the entire world, all because of her former nationality, this is not the America I know, this is not the America George Washington and Thomas Jefferson built and people fought for, such a primitive, and snobbish, racist gesture coming from one of the world's most recognised and famous music institutions in the world, all because of a political War waged abroad, how very un-American to snub someone for their nationality, accent, considering that all of America was built by many nations alike from around the world, and it's not cut and dried, black and white. Ms.Netrebko doubtlessly shrugged it off, laughed, and I doubt very much that a self respecting, respected, renowned, Opera singer like Ms Netrebko would ever come back to your steel shoebox of an Opera, even if you'd write several apology letters, beg her on her knees, and pay her thrice as much and quadroople that, no way, your loss, and America's, to loose such a talented, gracious music ICON in the world of Opera, because she's Russian! How liberal! I do but wonder how you'll treat all the Americans with German-Polish descent once WW3 errupts. MET OPERA, YOU SICK SOBS, YOU DO NOT DESERVE TO BE GRACED BY THE LIKES OF ANNA NETREBKO, OR HER FELLOW AQCUAINTANCE ELINA GARANCA, WHO will doubtlessly take her side and decline and offers from your crap American snobbish institute, blame it on Putin, but leave Ms. Netrebko out of this. I am appauled by the Met Opera's poor desicion making and narrow minded, primitive, Republican, xenophobic, nationalist attitudes, Baton Rouge is more open to foreigners than that steel factory they've called an "Opera". Very dissapointed, and will never ever take a seat in that steel pisspot of yours to listen to anyone else, because you have just deprived America of a very special lady, a bonafide talent, and an even more special person, because of a political conflict that's rocked this entire planet from Newfoundland to the Antarctic, and changed the world economy in ways COVID-19 could only dream of, talk about a vaccine for inflation, fromPfizer, think they'll have to use it on themselves, discriminating an Opera singer because of her nationality after having gone out of her way to denounce her native Russia and support her adoptive country's views and take it's stance, in front of Vladimir Putin, the country she brought up her son in, who speaks with a fluent AMERICAN ACCENT and has adopted AMERICAN MENTALITY and culture, values, is unacceptable, you people should go to jail for how you treated Ms.Netrebko and her son. Unacceptable. Un American, rude. Go to Albania,or better yet, Russia, Americans are heartily discriminated, frowned upon at, and treated like Aliens from a different planet with their beliefs and attitudes and diazepam, and find out what it's like, aaaa but then you're not Opera singers, you snobs only hire opera singers ahahahahahaha😆

Sorry, but the whole thing is a misrepresentation. The Met Orchestra is rehearsing on C level for a Carnegie Hall concert, but ABT is onstage and the orchestra for the performance is the ABT Orchestra. The Met Orchestra doesn't rehearse in the pit once ABT starts, so this is cobbled together and is not chronological.

As someone who was in two opera productions with Washington National Opera, this checks out. The amount of people, the extremely labyrinthine backstage hallways, and the sheer amount going on backstage.

Fascinating! So many people with so many different jobs, and I love the rehearsing dancers and musicians! It just mind boggling what goes into a show behind the scenes at the Met. I knew the Met has several floors but backstage there are so many elevators and performance rooms ! Actually I think the better show is backstage with the workers, cast members, technicians and musicians. To them it's just a job but to me it is wonderous! Thank you so much!

I am a costumer for my local stock and college theaters and man, when they showed the costumer's workshop, I just about cried. I make the costumes for my local productions either in my house, in a friend's house, or in the very tiny workshop she and I supervise and coordinate. I don't know about the Met's costumers, but during performances, I have to be there for every performance from an hour prior to an hour after in case anything needs alterations or repair or what have you. I want the Met's costume workshop. Waaaaant. LOL

It would be better and more appropriate to have classical music in the background. Great video, though. I would love it if you could do one leading up to an opera production. It would be interesting to see the similarities and differences. Thank you so much.
