ngl when my faruzan was at c0 i was playing him anyway, but now that my faruzan is at c4 i don't feel like playing him until i get the 2 last constellations cuz they really skyrocket his dmg, also i get lazy to swap my artifact from yoimiya to him everytime i wanna play him

Wonderer is Great 👍 Mobility charcters > meta damage, what makes hem special from Other catalyst users such as sucrose hazu baizhu and the Others the Fact that his Normals actually homing And Hits Enemy's.. 🌿

I really dont care about meta or performances of chara (even if I want a decent team ofc). As Genshin is not aiming to be a difficult game, the story/lore and exploration are cleary the most important things. Who cares about performances ? It is like you want to eat healthy at Mcdonald's. Not logical at all. I just love his lore/story, his personnality and his play. He is very fun. I'm f2p player but If I didn't won my 50/50 I probably would have pay to get him no matter what. Neuvilette is hyping me at the same degree.

back at this banner, i was trying to r5 my redhorn with a billion wishes i had saved, like 300. i got 3 of wanderer's weapons as a bonus to my 4 redhorns. i then decided i'd pick him up at his rerun. but he showed up in an event before his rerun, i used him and immediately dropped the idea of getting him. His combat is just so unsatisfying. I don't think he is fun to use. Plus, He's kinda weak at base and i don't have any of his "anemo environment (read, c4 jean or c6 faruzan)" set up so he can perform decently.
so instead i'm saving for either c2 focalor, or c2 nahida, which i already know kicks ass because i have her at c2 on my second account. my r3 bell remains without a proper owner, sadly. Well, I guess klee could use make decent use of it, but truth be told, the skyward book is better DPS this his bell for klee

Wanderer is good in meta hes stronger that hu tao and he works in a bunch of team he is the best anemo dps, 3 BEST freeze cause ayaka and ganyu and the best taser and u can play vv or desert Pavilion depending on the team even elemental mastery because he has a strong swirl

Looking back, CN was pulling for meta. They were just way ahead of the curve. Everyone called him mid when he came out without considering that hypercarries scale heavily with primo and resin investment. Now that more people have c6 faruzan and have farmed actually good sets for him, hes one if the highest performing speedrun units in the game alongside Xiao.

As a someone who started playing recently. He is the first 5 star I got and its really fun traveling along with it

The idea that "Wanderer/Scara is more focused on HIS own damage" is exactly in character for him

I hope we get a support that specifically caters to hypercarries at some point. A character that buffs characters infinitely so long as you don’t switch out might work. Or maybe perhaps a slightly less broken concept would be to have a buff that gets stronger with time spent out on field.

i waited for him since leaks in 1.0, had a freakout over his redesign, ended up liking the redesign a lot, then c6r1'ed the bastard. i was/am the true definition of a toxic scara simp but honestly... just look at him.

Yeah, and in my personal view who pull purely for the damage is played by the game instead of enjoying it. Cause up to a point damage doesn’t really matter, it will come bit to the mechanics.

I obtained him by accident due to faruzan but now hes my main. hes not my strongest character but he's interesting and fun to play. And I think thats the point of the game.

a LOT of them are more than eager to throw in $99.9 after $99.9 (¥648 after ¥648) crazily to get him to C6

Wanderer is like the posterchild of “play who you want, screw the meta.” His damage is up there once you hyperinvest into him, his bell, C6 faruzan, and at least C2. It’s a lot, yes, but I mean if you’re going to screw the meta, you’re already pretty likely the person who wants to focus resources on that special husbando or waifu. Wanderer is a good choice because all of his constellations are cracked. He can also fool around with tazer, freeze, and hyperbloom comps since he is anemo. Not the most optimal since he doesn’t provide EM or dmg bonus to the team, but it works when you need bennet on another team lol.

Wanderer is such a quality of life improvement in exploration that no meta can convince me to not main him

For real, I understand theorycrafting can be fun but structuring your entire experience around abyss isn’t worth it for most people. If you try hard you get like 2 extra pulls a month.

Its funny how you have to build a team around him because his kit only benefit himself is quite lore accurate since this man is a little b- 😃

Now that a few months passed since his release, I can say that he's far from being my strongest character, but he's by far the one I use the most since I pulled him. I basically use him 90% of the time when I do overworld stuff and about 20~30% of the time in abyss (depending on the enemy line up). He's strong enough to clear most floors within 90 seconds, but it can be quite close. Doesn't matter to me though, since I have enough other teams that I can use to 36 star abyss if I need/want to. What matters to me is that he's simply the most fun character I've used so far in this game and he's the first character that I would actually consider to c6 just because I like him that much.

Genshin is not meta driven game. People pull for whoever and scara is just chef's kiss

What they did to wanderer was a fuck you to the fans, ppl were expecting that black and red outfit and be electro for years then last minute bait and switch to amneo and wears white and blue

Tbh its wild that people are surprised that people can play genshin for fun. And isnt tryharding the game. I personally have plenty of other games id rather tryhard in. Mainly games that doesnt try to suck every penny out of me.

As a new player (kinda), I've fallen for Scara's character. I got attached to him and, after trying him out in the vibro-crystal thing, I had soooo much fun playing him! It was so tempting not to use his supports cause I just didn't want to switch him out even for a second.

I noticed that Genshin players (not all) care too much about the meta and numbers. For me, it's just about having fun. Sure, we want to clear the abyss, but saying "it's not worth to pull that character cause insert character is better" is kinda ridiculous to me. I will pull for the characters I've fallen for in the game. If they're strong, if they're game style is good, then that's a huge plus. And Scara being soooo fun to play plus he's super strong (and again I love him), getting him will be worth more than gold.

You, me and the community as a whole is developing. Many of us have been following you for a while and what we're looking for in a new character is changing. I think Hoyo learned this the hard way imediately after this with Dehya. It's important to recognize the factors that make a popular character successful besides their meta standing, but the whole Dehya situation proves a characters pre-release popularity can only take them so far.

I'm waiting for his rerun to get him to c6 r5 😅
