C-27J Spartan | New Search and Rescue Capability

Throughout June and July 2020, a Test and Evaluation Team from Aircraft Research and Development Unit and aircrew from No. 35 Squadron ran a trial to airdrop Compact Rescue Systems from the C-27J Spartan.

This trial was a success and the certification now adds to the Search and Rescue capability of the aircraft. This trial also saw the PC-21 aircraft utilised as the chase plane for ARDU for the very first time.
