Do you use retinoids? Which one is your favourite?
I've only tried tretinoin and retinol so far, but tretinoin wins for me!
Am I the only person that never got any irritation ever when using retinoids. Yes even tretinoin
ОтветитьDo we need to put moisturiser before tretinoin or after that ?
ОтветитьI know trentinoin has the most studies behind it, but I was curious about adapalene . . . does it share any of the anti-aging properties as trentinoin, or is it only for acne?
Ответитьthis video popped up in my feed right after i put on the retinoid i was prescribed, and i haven't used it in weeks 😭
ОтветитьHow can I get this in Australia? Do I need a prescription and if yes how do I get it?
Ответитьso , how do you remedy broken capillaries?
ОтветитьI’m using 0.025% generic tretinoin. I just apply about three pea sized on my face and one on my neck. No flaking, no dry skin. I think this is because of the low concentration. I clean my face with micellar water on the mornings and apply sunscreen. That’s it.
Ответитьthis is amazing, thank you!
ОтветитьHi...Can we apply retinoid when we are breastfeeding?
ОтветитьThe hardest part for me is the amount I’m applying. Even with a full pea sized amount and dotting it around my face, I feel like it immediately soaks in and I’m not able to evenly spread it around my whole face. I’ll try layering oil underneath tonight to see how effective it is
ОтветитьHello Doctor.. I wanted know from you if retinol causes loss of fat pads in the face over-time.. Is there any truth to it ?
ОтветитьI started tretinoin 0.5% 2 weeks before and now it feels like my skin is getting darker, what can I do to prevent this?
ОтветитьI never watch any of these videos, but I love yours! Its so informative, to the point and very helpful! Thank you 🥰
Ответитьvery useful.
GREAT INFO
GREAT VIDEO
I really want to try adapalene but you can't really get it in Canada. I hope we can soon.
Ответить1 year on tretinoin still can't get over the irritation phase, but i won't give up 🥺
ОтветитьJust a question about using toners, as most toners are humectants, does it mean temporary no toners when starting your tret journey?
ОтветитьMy dermatologist gave me the .025% tretinoin after using the ordinary granactive retinoid and so far so good just diluting it with my CeraVe lotion heavily every night to stick as close to what I was doing before as possible. Once my skin stops lightly purging I'm going to start going with the undiluted tretinoin cream 2-3 times a week as advised then up to every day as recommended for my issues and concentration prescribed. My skin is very sensitive and finicky so this is quite promising as my skin seems to really like the retinoid any way it comes so far, as long as it's fragrance free.
Ответитьim in Australia too - how do you get Steiva A cream without a prescription??
Ответитьhow do you get prescribed this without major acne?
ОтветитьI would like your advice about whether I can use tretenoin even if I have not used any of the forms of retinoid before.I am 27 years old with combination skin type. Btw thank you for these informative videos 🤗
ОтветитьTretinoin gives me beautiful skin. Adapalene gives me acne and terrible skin.
ОтветитьGreat video. I'd also recommend putting moisturiser on first and then the retinoid on top of that to help lessen irritation. Dr Sam Bunting has a good series on how to get started, she's even done a few demo videos.
ОтветитьI just asked my doctor for the same tretinoin - and he denied me entry 😱He's a very 'proper' doctor, and wants to make sure you're only using it for actual problems and not 'just skincare' 😥
ОтветитьAt what age can retinol be used? and what products can be used at the beginning? I am 25 years old, my skin is prone to acne and sensitive .
ОтветитьIs it possible to get a 2022 update on this?
ОтветитьI started on The Ordinary Retinol 1% in Squalane then and now I use Geek&Gorgeous A10 Retinaldehyde 0.1% . I got worse side effects from Retinol . When my Retinal runs out I have Differin Adapalene Gel 0.1% .
ОтветитьThank you so much for sharing your knowledge! I appreciate your devotion to educating the public. I just introduced a etinol and am dealing with the dry, flaky, red, and stingy/itchy skin. I thought I had my bases covered and was introducing correctly. Because of your video, I know now what I did wrong: my face was damp when applying. Ugh. Thank you again for the information!
ОтветитьIt would be a really good idea to mention to not use these if you’re pregnant. It’s one of the few topical products that is contraindicated in pregnancy
ОтветитьOooh looking fabulous in mustard ❤
ОтветитьI had no idea the irritation could be delayed!! It all makes sense now!!!
ОтветитьI'm so thankfull for your blog!
It's nice to have a fast watching video, but a transcript really really ups the game for me!!
Another awesome video! But I'm still confused by all the "rules" surrounding retinol use so could you please tell me would it be best if I just consulted a dermatologist first to get my skin assessed and get them to recommend a targeted retinol and skin care products? Thank you.
ОтветитьGreat tips but when I go for short contact the tret at times flows down to my eyes from the forehead and irritates them . I am really scared of it migrating or flowing down to my eyes. Is there any way to protect the eyes ? Thank you
ОтветитьIn my country you can only get tretinoid from a doctor sadly.. Is this different in other countries or are your doctors more lenient?
ОтветитьI’ve been using cosrx snail mucin before using my .025% tret and I’ve been experiencing a bad purge.. Could this be the reason?
Ответитьafter 3 years using tazarotene and adapalene, i developed skin rashes. I stopped use, skin healed, resume use again, and they would return. I have made the decision that it is not needed in this home. lol
ОтветитьThank you so much for this! I just started tretinoin a few days ago, following the instructions religiously, and then the peeling started. I'm not used to that since I have combination-oily skin. I'm definitely going to try the trick of applying oil first and basically do your week 2 routine since I don't think I'm so sensitive that I need to do short-contact. Again, thank you!!!!!!!!!
ОтветитьThank you for this video! I have a question, I noticed in this and another video your routine is in cycles. I was always under the impression that consistency is key so I always tried to do the same routine every day. But apparently that was another myth (or something I just made up? haha). I've been using Differin during the day and 2.5% benzoyl peroxide at night, my skin can sometimes feel red and irritated yet I still get some breakouts. I wonder if switching up my routine as you do might work better and adding a chemical exfoliant on non Differin days.
If you ever have time, I'd be really interested in a video about consistency vs. cycling products. Which products are best used intermittently vs those that are most effective daily etc. Thank you!
Does adapalene help with fine lines?
ОтветитьWhere in Australia do you get tretinoin? I’ve only been able to find differin.
ОтветитьKinda silly questions but would retinoids like adapalene that are advertised for acne also help with anti-aging stuff?
ОтветитьMy skin didnt react at all to tretinoin. i had used the Retinol serum B3 by LRP prior to using tret and with that one I had to make arrangements in my skincare routine to get used to it; 2 months later I was using tret already and had no irritation at all 👀 I had to adjust to the weak retinol serum by lrp but didnt have any issue when the tret tagged along, so strange! Because I still have some retinol serums around the house I use tret and retinol on alternate nights 👀 no irritation at all...
ОтветитьMam i am 20years old girl....can i use retinol..... please tell me
ОтветитьWhat’s the difference between Retin-A and Retin-A micro and which is better for aging?
ОтветитьMy skin tends to handle products well so I also got a bit careless with retinol. Thankfully, I didn’t get a bad reaction. Just a tiny burn on my cheekbone.
ОтветитьI'd like to ask what kinds of oils are best to use for week 2? Any other (preferably cheaper) alternatives?
ОтветитьHey Michelle, I’ve been using adapalene and stieva for a few years now, and recently recovered retin-A micro gel - supposedly can time release therefore less irritation? What do you think of it? I tried it last night and my skin feels much drier than usual (higher % than my stieva and I applied a bit too much probably) but zero peeling :O usually stieva makes me peel a lot worse even if less dry. but I’m just a little hesitant to completely switch to that because Valeant isn’t exactly known as the most ethical company and they are the only manufacturer of this formulation here in Canada...any advices appreciated! ❤️
