Excellent intro, sir!
ОтветитьReally enjoy your playing as always Ben, where can we hear more? Thanks for the reviews as always.
ОтветитьYou know you're getting killer playing every time with Ben.
ОтветитьMaybe it’s just because I haven’t watched many of the acoustic videos, but DAMN Ben is an amazing guitarist!
ОтветитьLovely to see Cole Clark get some coverage outside Australia (although it's known that Jack Johnson plays them). They really have such a unique sound, unique woods and although I've never owned one, every one I've played has been a nice instrument.
ОтветитьTotally agree with their plugged in performance. Some years ago used to play a Cole Clark at the start of the evening just as it was the "house guitar", sounded great, easy set up, no feedback & the sound you could hear on stage was true & familiar. Plugging my own guitar in later for a jam, mine really struggled with accurate tone & avoiding feedback. Top of the range Sigma with Fishman. Found the Cole Clark really easy to play, but over the last couple of years I have been drawn to the Faith's as all rounders.
Ответить"These are also available in left-handed models." Wait!! What?! Take my money!!
ОтветитьBen, have you any plans to do a comparison of some of the available travel sized and junior sized guitars from Martin, Taylor, Gibson, and other acoustic brands? A blind test would be great fun! Just a thought. Great playing as usual!
ОтветитьQuite the investment, is it worth it??? Gigging guitar 🎸 for acoustic players probably. Taylor makes some good alternatives...
ОтветитьYea...I know what I'm saving my pennies for.
ОтветитьWith all the hard edges, these guitars look like they came straight out the CNC machine. Martins and Gibsons look more „handbuilt“.. even it‘s not 😉
ОтветитьGonna have to say it again. They sound like resonators.
ОтветитьNice one, Ben! You did say to "watch this space!"
Ответитьbeen playing electric for 40years and never touched an acoustic guitar. but find i want to when i watch bens playing. awesome guitarist!!!
ОтветитьIncredible playing as always but I'm struggling to love these guitars. I want to, I have a strong link to Australia but they just sound a bit anemic to my ears. However I have a feeling Ben loves them so it's probably my ears that are duff
ОтветитьBeautiful. Soulful sound.
ОтветитьWe need more BASS.
ОтветитьPrice point ,hard case !will not buy any guitar at this price rang without a good quality hard case
ОтветитьGreat playing on fabulous guitars! 😀👏👏👏👏👏
ОтветитьGostei demais 🙋♂️
ОтветитьWell I'm stealing that walking riff he does at about 40 seconds in
ОтветитьI hate Ben .. cause he does all these great tunes, he seems like he is having so much fun with his licks. So Jealous.. I'm kidding of course. I love watching the acoustic videos and Ben is fun to watch. Keep it up guys.
ОтветитьGotta channel Tommy Emmanuel vibes for the Aussie made guitar 👏
ОтветитьReally nice playing! That said these sound like cheap cigar box guitars. I am not sure if it is the way these are recorded or they are just bad sounding guitars. My guess is stick with Martin, Taylor, or Gibson depending on your tastes.
ОтветитьFinally a product at Anderson’s that I can buy locally in Sydney Australia. No shipping fees. Aussie made gems. 👍🇦🇺
ОтветитьCould listen to this guy all day, never mind the guitar.
ОтветитьAh yes, the beautiful Bunya Pine... native to Australia and grows in plentitude in the magnificent Bunya Mountains 250 kms north-west of where I live. Search: Bunya Mountain National Park.
ОтветитьSo are these Cole Clark guitars solid wood or are they a laminate build?
ОтветитьI'd like to see you Ben and Peter cuttin up on Cole Clark Humbuckers. They sound REALLY awesome.
ОтветитьFunny that 2 of the best acoustic brands are made in Melbourne - Cole Clark and Maton! Look out for both if you can find them. My 20+ year old Maton still sings!
Ответитьterrific playing ben,,,as always,,,lovely lookin guitars for sure
ОтветитьReally good test man.
ОтветитьIf they had Martin, Gibson or Taylor brand name on them they would be the best sounding guitars in the world. I am afraid a lot of people tone deaf if it is not made in America.
ОтветитьCan anyone give info on neck size in comparison to feel? I’ve read nut size is 44mm but wonder if it closer to a fender
Or a Gibson width size?
Struggling to decide between Cole Clark Angel 2 or a Maton 808 ..
ОтветитьSounds boxy
Ответитьthe playability of the angel 1 is beyond insanity, feels like absolute butter as I assume they all are
ОтветитьThe last one Ben demonstrates is my first all solid wood guitar. Cole Clark describes their guitars well on their website. Redwood is soft, similar to cedar, and they note "not for a percussive player." The Spanish heel construction really resonates all the way down the neck, so I feel the joy in my fretting hand, and a special pleasure is seeing the initials of each individual who worked on the guitar on the end of the heel inside the body with the Angel model and serial number tag. The videos on the Cole Clark Guitars site are quite helpful as Lloyd Spiegel, Australia's premier blues guitarist explains how the electronics work, besides his outstanding demonstrations. My son in law plays a Breedlove Atlas dreadnought, and is interested in my concert body guitars, but this auditorium body he'll have to wait for! (My Angel is a "minor blemish" AN2EC-RDBL that I purchased for $1834 USD + Idaho sales tax last summer, that took three weeks to recover from ground freight through the hot and arid southwest. Slowly coming back from 38% humidity along with the case... Taylor Guitars has a great demonstration of the quantity of moisture held within a guitar and the wood case at the ideal humidity and temperature.) Incredible sound, and I'm looking forward to trying the Santa Cruz Guitar Company's new Parabolic Tension strings on it.
ОтветитьPhenomenal player, beautiful guitars
ОтветитьI’ve owned an Angel 1 for about a year. Bought it because I loved the look and the sound. Both subjective, I know. To my ears they sound great both acoustic and plugged in.
Later, I found that they because they do have their own unique sound, they make for a nice contrast against other popular acoustic guitars in a live band.
I played a non cutaway Blackwood back, sides and top Angel 2 at my local store and it sounded super resonant unplugged and felt really comfortable to play. I’m seriously considering it as a backup guitar,
ОтветитьI feel like Blackwood is so stiff you’re just hearing the sound straight from the strings themselves, while softer timber like redwood or bunya you get more of the vibrations and woodyness. I’ve bought 4 cole Clark’s over the years. I love my redwood top Blackwood back and sides guitar. So beautiful and sounds amazing.
ОтветитьHow's that Spanish Heel working?
ОтветитьHigh on the Cole Clark Guitars ?
