As a health pro I have never heard it so clearly❤
ОтветитьThis is amazing. Glad I found it. Now to get busy

ОтветитьExcellent presentation to the lay person. Best Ted I’ve seen. Actually based upon quantitative data. 👍
ОтветитьUltimately, all energy comes from the light/sunlight,and is stored by nature via photosynthesis (plants) or chemical conversion (animals). Humans process (chemical conversion) all food into amino acids (the baseline building block of life), then are reused and reconstituted into whatever the body needs at that time. Sweat is actually a waste product of the conversation indicating conversation efficiency; the more you sweat, the less efficient you body converted the chemical potential energy into useful kinetic energy.
ОтветитьCalories/heat reach equilibrium via entropy, thus it disperse throughout the medium in which we live. Humans store energy via chemicals, so some of the conversation is lost to heat/sweat, but the rest is converted to energy and leaves the body as moisture in our CO2 exhale.
ОтветитьIt goes into the loo. Where else would it go?
ОтветитьWas fascinated. Until said fossil fuels do not cause climate change. Since recorded nine years ago hope when you know better will do better. Hippies know. ✌. Would be nice if edited to delete this error. Wanted to share but cannot with this myth.
ОтветитьElementary... Mass gets converted to Energy as per Einstein's equation: E=mc^2 (where ^ is exponentiation). Just kiddin'.
Ответитьuse the trim support of planet ayurveda it helps to best reducing weight loss naturally
ОтветитьWow thanks a lot❤💯
ОтветитьHe said all that to say drink more water to lose weight?!?😂😂😂
ОтветитьWhy the edits? The chemistry around acetone was informative.
ОтветитьAll the balloons and dry ice will not make this talk interesting….😫😫😫
ОтветитьYou are a goooood professor.
ОтветитьEveryone disagreeing in the comments is probably trying to sell health advice.
ОтветитьThanks. So formula is ? Eat less + move more + do breathing exercises?
ОтветитьWow.
ОтветитьThis is why I never stood chemistry classes since school. It even interests me the topic now, but the talk is unbearable.
ОтветитьSo essentially, eat less and move more- I knew that before the chemistry lesson!
ОтветитьHow to lose weight in 3 simple steps:
1. Eat less
2. Move
3. Breath
Anyone else hoping for eat more, move less, take a magic pill 💊 solution? 😂
I'm not sure that applying physics to weight loss is really smart, especially given the tiny nod to actually qualified people like 'this arrow is just all the relevant information, just ignore that....'
ОтветитьI feel like he made that section about where does the oxygen go way more complicated than it needed to be. You can read directly from the equation where the oxygen goes, the proportion is in the formula.
Why does he throw biochemists under the bus and act like no one knew this except for some obscure paper from the 40s...
I very much like this video. It is amazing!
But here is my problem - I run 4 times a week and on an average week this would mean around 40 km in total. I started this routine in 2020 and back then I was 56 kg. One would think I lost weight since then?
On the contrary- now I weigh 60 kg even though I run faster and longer. What is the worst - I do look fatter.
I made this calculation for my last run - 2 hrs and 33 min (26 km) with avg respiration rate of 33 brpm. This is 5059 brpm in total.
Let's say my lungs breath out 3 litres of air on any given breath. 5% of this is CO2, so 102 grams (158 mls). For 1 min by 33 brpm this makes more than 3 kgs?!?!
Could that be right?!?!
If it is then how come I keep on gaining weight instead of losing it?
"Haych."
ОтветитьBreath Air.
ОтветитьHi
ОтветитьRuben Meerman, you might want to take a look at Kapalbhati Pranayam. After watching this video it makes sense to me how Kapalbhati helps in weight loss. It is a full circle of knowledge for me now. Thanks!
ОтветитьTHE BEST TEACHER I NEVER HAD
ОтветитьCan't stand the words maths. How about math?!
ОтветитьI am truly astonished by this video my jaw dropped during the balloon bit and was so focused throughout the video trying to take every word in and I'm someone who hated science class so much that I actually decided to study languages and art so that I don't have to ever read a science book ever again in my life 😅
ОтветитьWhat is the music?
ОтветитьVery impressive. I think now I will be more committed to exercise now that I understand the science behind it. Thanks for this solid explanation, Ruben.
ОтветитьAmazing how some people can turn something universally boring into something very interesting.
Ответитьso eat less, more move, got it.
ОтветитьEat Less. Move more. Keep Breathing. ❤ it
Ответитьnear the end... ketosis is not a low protein diet.... it's a low carb diet with protein and fats
ОтветитьIf you have a Terrible Diet and you Eat LESS and Move MORE, You Will most Certainly Lose Weight.
Anyone who has done this will tell you that that is TRUE.
The Problem is: EVERY HUMAN BODYS Underlying Response to this.
When the body Detects that you have done this, it ALWAYS has the same Response:
In defense of your health, The Body steps in to SAVE YOU FROM YOURSELF.
It REDUCES your Metabolism (in an attempt to Maintain Homeostasis.)
The body considers you to be Unbalancing it's Systems for Storing Energy and Using Energy.
This is one of my favorite TED Talks Ever, But I think it is best to look at this talk as a Starting Point (NOT a SOLUTION.)
I Suggest watching: Dr. Jamadas, Dr. Fung, and Dr. Robert Lustig's videos to FINALLY find a REAL SOLUTION.
Losing the Weight is Only the first part - Keeping it off is the REAL PROBLEM.
Wow never thought this way
Ответить💯💯
ОтветитьFascinating 😮
ОтветитьThere is a third way learn to breath out more than you breath in, no need for exercise or diets.
ОтветитьI have always felt that drinking the amount of water I do has assisted in the lack of weight loss. Should I intake less water/H2O?
ОтветитьHe said low protein diets but he means low carb referring to Keto just FYI
ОтветитьI agree with the move more, but perhaps to clarify on the eat less: consider less processed foods and the Standard American Diet, and move towards whole food, plant-based nutrition.
ОтветитьThere are so many myths in-around and from from the health industry; alternative or corporate, the same! That gets me saying: "No one really has our health to heart! Everyone is going for the "bucks", and nothing for your luck." And that's why curiosity and scepticism are musts to survive and attain physical quality of life in this modern world.
ОтветитьExtremely fascinating and helpful. Thanks! Didn't want it to end.
ОтветитьOIL is not dead critters.......the earth is making oil as we speak from minerals
ОтветитьDon’t start by shouting at the audiencecitceillbturn them off
