Curious, why does Archen get boosted stat gains?

I still say you should just set the nature, IVs, and (non-hidden) ability when moding it over a starter.

When I saw that short run time I figured you had gotten brick walled and lost, good to see this feathery little fiend had it in 'em. Speaking of feathery little fiends, I would like to resubmit my suggestion for doing pokemon gold/silver with a single Murkrow

Hoppip is clearly the best Kanto starter.

Azurill all the way. I'd go gambling for Huge Power, for sure. Why? Huge Power Azumarill breaks these games in half.

I recommend a Pineco/Forretress only run in gen 4 (gen 4 so it gets actual stab moves) but you can do gen 2 if you want to.

Imagine how funny it would be if Nidoqueen, Jumpluff, or Azumarill got mega forms in Legends ZA.

I know you don't do these games too often but do you think you could do either a x/y or a USUM Spheal only run? The reason I ask is becasue a while ago I went through and beat every region with only one Spheal and those 2 games and Legends Arceus were the only ones that I forced to use items in battle for, even with me being level 100 and EV trained and I would be interested to see if you could figure out a way to do it that I couldn't.

TBH it kinda makes sense that Defeatist wasn't all that relevant here. There are lots of runs where you have glass cannons that cannot take a hit at all or they faint. The only difference Defeatist makes is that you don't necessarily faint and can do something before the fight ends. And the reason the Archeops line has Defeatist to begin with is their very good Attacking stats, so it was well suited to perform as a Glass Cannon.

Regarding the daily random TM quiz, Citra and its forks let you change the date in settings, so you can get the TM, save, advance the date and restart, do the next quiz, and repeat until you have the one you're after.

Btw: Which fossil did you take? Also: Can you beat Pokemon X/Y with one Noibat?
And my favourite Kanto-Starter is Azurill.

For Future runs: if you get stuck on a Pokémon with sturdy because you have a glass canon: Go for the flinch with rock slide! It’s 30% iirc and it breaks the sturdy. Could have given you wins in a lot of fights on a way lower level in this challenge
