I love Ian and his humour and strength but he has clearly lost his place and appreciation with Britains public. The people have not shifted left or right, but the media is so much more left than it was for the past 40 years. He’s lost in the left and sees everything through his bubble. Great interview, both were excellent, and I still like Ian, despite his loss of perspective.

It's not your political background that makes you subject of satire, it's your hypocrisy.

Artificial Intelligence, is the final piece of the puzzle for disinformation....to dispute and cast doubt on what once was irrefutable proof will be the final nail in the coffin of democracy.

I really enjoyed this. Two of my favorite satirists. The only thing that got to me a bit is when Jon was trying to give his take on when does feeling shame kick in . I felt Ian was giving the average person American or British too much credit. I thought Jon's comments people alligning with Russian values holds true. And Americans expecially will deny facts that are presented to them. I'm not sure why Ian was acting so nieve at times when we know He's not.

I normally have respect for what Ian Hislop has to say, but when he claims the BBC is not bias must be called out! The BBC has still 7 years after the fact not accepted the result of the referendum (as he hasn't). They have done all they could to berate and belittle all those who voted in the largest democratic vote of all time in the UK! Further to this they have taken one side only of most of the propaganda the UN, WHO, & WEF has pushed on the government without question, to the point of not allowing any one with a contrary view to appear or give them a platform to put the reality as shown in the empirical data. Whether it be climate change/global warming, Covid/vaccines, or the benefits achieved under the extremely bad Brexit deal the government struck with the EU! Similarly with the objectors to Net Zero and the ridiculous idea that Wind and Solar can replace the power generated by fossil fuels! They will however give plenty coverage of BLM, & Just stop Oil. both funded by George Soros( the man who broke the Bank of England & a Nazi supporter!). With this democracy flew out the window at the result of that Referendum, when the government refused to carry out the will of the people! With a new King as Monarch who has no intention of keeping his Oath to the People he has lost all respect and should step down! But his SON shows the same disrespect for the people who are the real sovereigns in the country!

Stop reading Murdoch's lies... every one of us can do this. We made him; we can break him. His lies only have power if you buy his papers. In the end, you are his power. Great fun, guys; loved it all. Oh btw ethnicity is a falsehood...we are all just humans who try to clump together...any excuse will do as long as we are in the winning clump.

"The Problem" with Job Stewart and the rest of the comedic commentariat of the last few decades (Colbert, Maher, Myers, Oliver etc) may be that they have overestimated, or failed to estimate, the abilities and faculties of their select audience. When their format demands that politics and politicians are the punchline, why NOT a Trump or a Johnson? The marketplace of ideas welcomes them. How can it not?

Have you seen his physician?
Also Not all men are honest with their docs.... especially one like Don.
An STD test is not part of a standard physical exam, so it can be possible that Don just ignored symptoms and his doctor was afraid to ask or never actually examined him. Remember his type of doctors give him a bone spur diagnosis when it's necessary.

....so just because you can afford the best, it doesn't mean you hire the best. Michael Jackson's doctor killed him.

As much as I would like to thank Jon Stewart and Ian Hislop for discussing all this, I also don't think my comments are a valuable use of their time, but that might be just me. Anyway, it feels like we need this kind of discussion more than ever these days, highlighting what is bad about today's politics and the politicians, especially in contrast with our historical experience from politics and democracy. Few things give me as much consolation as this kind of talk and discussion of what would be important to know in order to be better prepared to handle all the negativity.

There are things that are career ending when UK politicians do them that don't even register in the US because they're nothing compared to the severity of acts that for many US politicians are just considered "normal government operations."
