Minecraft music is different. Coming from someone who barely played the game, Minecraft’s music doesn’t have that background in it. It’s there as a player, making you want to do something more. And most of all it’s barely energetic. It’s soft, gentle, kind, loving even. It’s telling you to keep going and that there always tomorrow. It has the feeling of a soft, warm grandma smile. Almost like it’s proud of you for making something, out of your on imagination. I have depression, but this games music I relate to. I has that sad undertone but warm and happy to be here at heart. It makes me want to cry but I can’t. Not cuz I don’t want to, but it’s just to soft, warm, kind and gentle for me to. It’s gives me the same feeling as my oma and opa. I love them to death and they always make me smile and laugh. And for anyone who has depression, I love you.❤️

Literally anytime i hear minecraft music in pure clarity, i actually start crying. Not just tearing up, no, i start like really crying.

certain tracks also play in certain biomes to like kind of elevate the gameplay because some tracks fit some biomes better than others

I used to always think of Haggstrom as the “Sunset Song” because it would always play and let me know when the sun was setting

For me personally mice on venus makes me very emotional and at peace and in minecraft i usually end up listening to these at the sunset, sunrise or the moon and at that moment i close Minecraft and look out the living room window and just peacefully take a stroll in the park or city. (Its a sad song about acceptance and peace like the end of a story)

As someone who played when the first triplete was the only music, it's unbelievable to hear the evolution over the years

Only handful of games are not the same without the OST. Minecraft is indeed one, Terraria's 8bit OST is oddly beautiful and just as important for that game. A few others that would fall in that category and the original DOOM and DOOM 2016 and Eternal. They are entirely different games without the score

I really love C418’s Minecraft music. But I was wondering: have you checked out his other work? Have you checked out albums like One, Excursions, 148, 72 Minutes of Fame, Life Changing Moments Seem Minor in Pictures, Dief, etc.? At one point I got bored of just the Minecraft soundtrack, so I checked these out, and I’ve gotta say they’re pretty great as well. One and Excursions are probably my two favorites of these (and 148 is also a common favorite), but they’re all worth checking out. He also has several more albums on Bandcamp as well, most of which I have yet to look at.

Me wondering where it all went wrong:

i'm honestly pretty young and i started playing minecraft on the demo and id play the demo until the timer ran out (about 30 minutes) when i was about 6 or 7 and i have always thought that yes, minecraft music is popular but its still underrated. and even the weird tracks like key or door make me feel more comforted than the others

I have so much so much damn history. I even stopped playing minecraft for a long time because i had some personal problems and i would be reminded from minecraft songs that pain deep down pain was too hurtful for me to even play it for several minutes. That changed overtime but this has been the best game ever released.
