I must have missed this headline in 2011. I like the mystery of the unopened door, like the Qin Shi Huang tomb. Learning about hidden treasure from a beautiful narrator is also a treasure.

Greatness lies not in gifts given the temple. It lies in honesty of the servants of God in keeping the valuables that came in. And they have been coming in for many centuries.

The Naga Door is like something straight out of D&D, where you need a Bard to hit the right tones to open it. It's a dungeon adventure for sure, with legit fantasy-style treasure and maybe even monsters

People who never read any vedhas will laugh on this facts..Everything is well said and connected ..
It's said that behind the last door contains the darkest plague (kali the form of devil) which will bring havoc on the earth..Devil attracts you by fulfilling your immediate needs thus gold is there behind the door... As per the vedhas, if kali is out then we need kalki (God) to be here, which will be like some kind of antidotes for this plague.. But by that time there will be no one left. This all all are connected

It's guarded with the nagas mantra to make sure it's stays as a mystery .. Human greed will bring unnecessary havoc.. Better not to invite the uninvited.. Am not a hardcore Hindu devotee but sometimes you should listen to the nature.. There is reason for everything..

Greetings from Quebec, Canada! I wanted to share my heartfelt admiration for the enchanting country of India. During my visit, I was mesmerized by the diverse and breathtaking landscapes, the rich and flavorful cuisine, the vibrant culture, and above all, the real treasure isn't the magnificient Padmanabhaswany temple but the sincere kindness displayed by the people. My time in India left an everlasting impression on me, and I feel truly grateful for the wonderful experiences I had 🙏. I miss India so much, especially Kerala 😉.

The treasure belongs to the temple and the royal family took care of the temple and it's possessions for centuries seeing Lord Padmanabhaswamy himself as the true ruler. If the government is given the power over this, the 40Billion USD worth will end up lesser than 40USD in a few years. With no proper source of income for state govt other than tourism that tanked post covid, the government sustains only on taxes and cess that rise every other month with poor administration and high corruption. Once hugely profitable transport and mill industries too are at heavy loss.
Neither the state nor central government should interfere in this.

If you research about the idol the murti in the temple, you can understand that it is actually a Buddha's murti. There is lotus under his feet. Naag was also a symbol of Buddha. Gradually People converted Buddha into Vishnu when Vaishnav sampraday came in. But it is actually Buddha!

Marthanda Varma expanded his kingdom through bloody wars and conquests.
Before Marthanda Varma, when an invading army conquers a kingdom, that kingdom becomes the vassal state for the conqueror king.
But Marthanda Varma during his conquests killed the Royal Family of the kingdoms he captured and looted all their wealth and treasures. Because of this, the commoners in these conquered lands did not accept him as a legitimate ruler and was considered a tyrant.
For their approval, Marthanda Varma started donating all his wealth to the temple and justified his conquests as a will of God.
Politics!
