An example of excellent cinema

Django literally goes around murdering people in the street. Pulls a guy off a horse and makes the horse land on him. Then Calvin saves his life. He should have been shot right their. They lie about wanting to buy someone and is lying . Then try to get the girl for cheap. Then kill Calvin for wanting the money that they offered. Out of the 3, Calvin is the least evil

I had to stop watching when he claims that there is no difference in skull size. There is, as well as brain size and most importantly brain composition. Very poorly researched

It was said that on the set of Django Unchained that the white actors, who had to repeatedly say the N word to their black counterparts would repeatedly in between takes apologize and make sure that they were okay just because saying such a horrific and historically heinous word was emotionally draining for everyone involved. I love hearing about stuff like this because most people nowadays are okay with saying the N word not really knowing or caring about the history behind the word itself. So to hear that the white actors were actually making sure that the black actors were okay and apologizing for the saying the word even though it's in the script to do so is refreshing. You don't hear about people doing this today.

My issue with the "He viewed them as nothing more than highly trained dogs" line is that dog fighting is a real thing and everyone hates it and thinks that the people who do it are evil. Like even if you viewed Africans as being less than human, you're still a monster for the horrible abuse you do unto them. Hell, the FBI uses cruelty to animals as a gauge of psychopathy.

I bit of dark humor that a lot of people glance over is that Ben, the slave who's been dead for probably 30+ years, still has better teeth than Candie.

Fun fact: Alexandre Dumas WAS NOT NOR HE CONSIDERED HIMSELF BLACK! The fact that his grand-grandmother was 1/2 black does not mean that the man was black! Dumas was a fine gentleman of French society, regarded as such.

In a deleted part, he kills Jonah hills character in a card game where he run out of money. Jonah’s character had been gifted brooomhilda by his father, in which he fell in love with. So when Calvin run him dry of money he wanted to trade slaves. Sheila for Hildy, Jonah wouldn’t do that so Calvin killed him and took Hildy

My thoughts on calvin is that it is all bullshit. Slaves were too valuable to risk harm to with gladitorial fights and the like. The probability of such practices and thinking are highly presumptuous and incorrect.
