I would think that if the ball hits the bottom of the hole and comes back out it should count.

That opening putt that bounced straight back out is caused by the cup trim ring not being far enough below the surface. The ball hits that hard plastic top edge and bounces right out.

I feel like there should be a rule change where if the ball is fully in the cup, but hops out, it still counts as in (like how in basketball if it goes in then out of the net it’s still points)

This was why Bubba Watson was so entertaining to watch. Weird stuff like this seemed to always happen to him.

I was playing a guy who hit a bad drive real short on a par 4. I was way ahead but almost in the pond. If I hadn't been standing there to see it I would've never believed it happened. I watched him hit an illadvised shot that should've been in the water because it was about 210 to clear the water and he was hitting from some thick rough. He hit it probably 208. The ball hit a massive snapping turtle got a great bounce onto the green! He took the birdie and beat me. I wasn't even mad he won because that was the craziest shot/best birdie I've ever witnessed in person

They are forgetting the time tiger woods hit the ball into the pram was pretty unique
