ОтветитьThey also sold Europas kingdoms, and people to the mongols.
ОтветитьStill waiting for part 2…
ОтветитьLa Serenissima
ОтветитьAtleast the Italians got sweet trade deals
ОтветитьSuper video.
ОтветитьI wouldn't use the word "Glory" for something that started with the sacking of the world's greatest city. But then again, the Roman empire is full of events like this
ОтветитьThank you for the video.. As a Cretan Greek it's nice to know about my Venetian ancestors
Ответитьas a man who thinks about the roman empire often, i loved going to venice ^.^ the architecture was like going through a portal to the past
ОтветитьPlease don't spread all those lies about World of Warships. 12 vs 12 on small arenas are hardly "MMO", and even though quite a few of the ships in the game are historical, there are entire tech trees made up of fantasy.
ОтветитьI dont understand you pseudohistorian. You dident mention in any time illyria but its ok, you are all stupid
ОтветитьZárát a pápa fenyegetésére visszaadták Magyarországnak meg abban az évben.
Ответить¿Falta mucho para la siguiente parte?
Ответитьcant wait for part 2
ОтветитьFor who want to know,La Serenissima ( Venice ) had survive for more that 1000 years, only thanks to intelligence, diplomacy, commerce and a lot of perfect tactical geopolical moves
ОтветитьAs a huge Roman history fan I always feel like Venice is a villain in history lol
Ответитьonce Vasco Da Gama reached India, it was basically the end for Venice.
ОтветитьLocation of Venice on your video is about 300km wrong!!!! 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️🧟♀️
ОтветитьIt is all the rage now to repatriate the art stolen from other places. So? Are the four bronze horses stole by Venice from Constantinople to be returned to Istanbul, previously called Constantinople.
ОтветитьIncredible stuff, I don't know why I hadn't seen this before but would love a part 2!
ОтветитьMarco Polo was Croat not Venitian :)
Ответитьweak tea
ОтветитьWhere's the next parts :) !! This was a great teaser
ОтветитьThe ads are utterly ridiculous...I want to learn about Venice, not play stupid war games. Frankly, I think advertising utterly sucks. Thanks!!
ОтветитьWhat is not mentioned is that in Venice... nobles were not permitted to trade by law! Common citizens alone could engage in business. Noble families lived off the patronage of business interests that supported them politically. In turn the business class needed skilled labour and customers to generate the profits necessary to afford "favourable legislation." Reasonable wages were thus paid to the working class. Labourers prospered. All this was unthinkable elsewhere at the time, today it is taken for granted. This kept the social structure of the Serene Republic in balance for over a thousand one hundred years. When the United States won its independence, Venice was the only powerful Republic in existence and was studied by the American founding fathers in detail...
ОтветитьAlways wondered how Venice, with such a small land, survived so many large neighboring kingdoms and empires.
ОтветитьWhy no part 2?
ОтветитьSlipknot
ОтветитьReally good! Where is part two?
ОтветитьGloria a la vieja República
ОтветитьPart 2 please!
ОтветитьThe people wants PART 2!
ОтветитьThanks
ОтветитьExcellent video ! Where is part 2 ?
ОтветитьWhen is part 2 coming?
ОтветитьWhere’s part 2 bruh
ОтветитьReally enjoyed this. When are the rest of the parts going to be out?
ОтветитьFirst doge elected, what a legend!
Ответитьwhere is our to be continued 😢😢😢
ОтветитьThey "smuggled" the remains back to Venice to bolster their state. Into what, a state of thieves ? 🤔
ОтветитьYou are the BEST❣😁👍⚡➕
ОтветитьBest History channel period.
ОтветитьMy real country! This is a culturally, linguistically and historically very different land from the rest of Italy!
La me vera naçion! Sta tera cuà la ze culturalmente, lenguistegamente e istoregamente piasè desfarente da 'l resto de l'Itaja!
Viva San Marco 🦁

This was a betrayal of Christendom that Venetians call “winning the 4th Crusade.” You might have mentioned that the only reason their siege was successful, when all others had failed, was because they had men already inside the city.
ОтветитьVenice and the Roman Empire, became enemies. In fact, the Turks didn’t take down the longest running empire in world history. The shadowy oligarchy ruling from within Venice did. Venice is the origin of what we might call today,…”the GlοωβαrhLι$T$ “.
ОтветитьNot a lot on medieval Venice. Couldn't pick a few chronicles here and there, huh?
ОтветитьExcellent video. I leaned so much! Going to have to watch it again 😃
