ОтветитьCharlie if I wanted to make a turkey stock using turkey necks. Do I slow cook it like the chicken gizzards for 8 hours? I'm going to make the gumbo again for Thanksgiving but I will be using turkey necks instead of chicken.

Gombos vary for sure and makes visiting on sundays fun ! vieux creole gombo are more herbal with tomatoes , okra and less onion .Cajun traditional has more pepper and onion . I grew up with thin gombo is the summer and thick in the winter . Always a trip to bourgeois in thibidaux for their smoked meats ! love ya channel , makes me remember growing up in the boot .

ОтветитьI attempted this recipe AGAIN this year and was actually able to find the pattons hot sausage and I found tht adding more water at the end made it sooooooooo damn good. It was a bit salty with just the quarts from the chicken and shrimp head broth. But baby let me tell u, adding more water at the end made it soooooo amazing.

ОтветитьI made the Roux your way and it definitely took a good 20min 😂 I was patient though but it came out really good
I boiled all my shrimp shells I added collard greens that I cooked separately and once everything was ready I combined my stock with my Roux and I had 4 different sausages and 5 different size shrimps I added lump crab instead of whole crab and then I added my collard greens and let it simmer on low for and hour it was so delicious
I’ve made this gumbo over 6 times now. Same consistency every time!! I appreciate you for this video brother!
