Thank you!!!
ОтветитьJust a montage and raw footage? Wow, I expected clients to want more.
ОтветитьAll these are full frame cameras you mentioned. Any thoughts there? Is cropped okay?
Ответитьhow should i should the ceremony gimbal or tripod if i only have 1 camera
ОтветитьHey Eric,
Thanks for sharing this video. It's exactly what I needed as someone who's eager to dive into the world of videography.
I've been shooting stuff on my iPhone and tinkering around with iMovie for a while now, but I'm totally new to professional cameras and editing software. So, your video is like a guiding light for me.
I'm curious about a few things:
Online Classes: Could you recommend some online classes or resources for someone at my level, especially for both filming and editing? I'd love to start learning the basics and gradually build my skills.
Camera Recommendations: Since I'm more of a beginner than most, I'd appreciate your advice on which camera from your recommendations in the video would be a good starting point for someone like me.
Drone Footage: Do you use drones? If so, could you share which drones you use and any tips for getting started with drone videography?
I love your video Eric, just don't agree with the statement that gear dosn't matter and I am sure you are also not that fond of this saying.
Yes it doesn't make you a better or worse storyteller and that's a skill that you need time to develop.
But lets be honest, how many people are good storytellers before they had access to good gear? The gear can help you with a specific look you want for your film, or just make it easier. Maybe a better way to say it would be don't chase equipment for the beginning and use what you have available. probably the most important and potential investment you would need for the beginning is for some kind of audio and a monopod or gimbal.
thank you Eric
ОтветитьDo we shoot the wedding at 24 or 60 fps? My clients are requesting that I shoot the entire ceremony.
ОтветитьInfluencer hat 😂 those hats doesn't age well 😅
ОтветитьI agree 4-6 mins is perfect. Nobody is going to watch and hour and 20 to the end...Maybe the bride and groom once and then again every ten years.
ОтветитьGH5 has horrendous AF. I would not recommend this for weddings. The shot of the bride and groom walking towards camera down the aisle...You have only one chance to follow focus perfectly and you cannot rely on the AF to do it.
ОтветитьYou also forgot to mention any APS-C options such as the a6400. another thing - you only mentioned 24 fps and 60fps but for us living in EU, we dont use 60 fps we in fact use 50 fps or 25
ОтветитьVery spicy and amazing tips
ОтветитьStep 1: get rid of that big ass camera and switch to Sony 😂
ОтветитьAll my knowledge from doing my first wedding legit came from this video lol.
Ответить💕☘️🎧
Ответитьlove your video but you need a gimball for sure mannnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
Ответить$8,500? I guess in Chicago!
Do you divey up the raw footage into 2 files if it's longer than 2 hours? Label it camera 1, camera 2, etc. if it's more than one camera?
Thanks for this video! Helped me a lot! Cheers
ОтветитьLove it bro!!! Thanks
ОтветитьDOPE!
ОтветитьWow...just WOW! Thank you sooo much for sharing such valuable information! I don't aspire to be a professional videographer but anticipate having to function in that role for family who cannot afford a professional, and now I have a better chance at producing something nice for them.😊👍💖
ОтветитьGear does matter. It shows what technical limitations you have within your work. These days, (for example), being able to shoot 4K seems important to people. Gear does matter. Get the gear that matters most to you.
ОтветитьI have a Panasonic s5, its really good for video but it does not have the most reliable autofocus
ОтветитьDope channel man! Thank you for the video!
ОтветитьAll this video it's just masked advertising!
ОтветитьI love you, Eric
Ответитьthank you sir
ОтветитьWould a Canon 15D Mark ll be a good start for videography?!
ОтветитьThank you
Ответитьman all these years I focused on doing music videos and getting little bucks here and there....now Im transitioning to full time wedding videographer and makes me feel like I could've made so much money if I had focused on the right clients.
ОтветитьI died when the baby screamed.
ОтветитьLove it! Just curious how much of AF you rely while filming, bout to shoot .y first wedding gig and I got a pocket 4k, now that I've seen this kinda scares me a bit ( and ibis haha)
ОтветитьI feel really confident bc i already fullfill most of these points
ОтветитьGreat channel :)
ОтветитьYou have a great approachable, genuine manner. I think that kind of personality also contributes to successful filmmaking - the person on the other side of the camera is what people are reacting to - so thank you for your tips - very easy and straight forward advice.
ОтветитьEric you’re the best, man.
ОтветитьQuick question - what stand do you use for the Zoom H5 if you were to place it in front of the speaker instead of the XLR cable option?
Great video and extremely helpful!
This Has made me make a decision! Thank you.
Never thought about the 4 - 6 minute edit as an option.
Thank you, thank you
Eric how many people do you have on your team when filming weddings?
ОтветитьHaven't watched the video yet. But that opening and comment about your house made me LOL
Ответить"Gear doesn't matter"
"Step 1: Get the right camera."
Within about 30 seconds of each other...
Pick one, dude.
What’s the font you use in your videos ??
ОтветитьNo one likes filming weddings
ОтветитьThank you Eric! ❤
ОтветитьHey mate, filming my first wedding next month!! Super excited but nervous, thanks for the tips!
