Thank you for this video! I've purchased an old Kawai K4 synthesizer but it has 2 audio outputs (L/R) instead of one (like the MiniBrute in your video). Does that mean I need 2 cables: one going from each output into each of the 2 inputs of my Audio Interface?

Im setting my studio up this week. I have one mac computer running ableton 12, one rme ucx audio interface, one mic, one stereo mic pre box, 6 synths old to newer, one motu midi express 128, a pair of monitors, a pair of headphones, one wurlitzer which i have no idea how to record, one roland sound module, one drum machine. Your video is great but im still confused on how to set up my own system. I dont know if i need patch bays, a small mixer or if i need anything else to make it all work. Any comments would be appreciated. Im a newbie.

Do you have any videos or advice on how to use external drives for all session files. This is critical to keep the computer (in my case Max mini M1) free of space and from bogging down.

I can only repeat what others have said. This is so good as instead of going straight into Ableton, We learn here about the connections and settings. It took me a couple of weeks to get my audio, guitar, Scarlet and midi controller to work together. Wish I had seen this earlier.

Where do you plug a keyboard like the Minilab 3 if using an iPad Pro with only one Usb port?

Two pieces of gear I bought, a Denon DN-100ps connection box, very handy with USB 3.0 data x4 , 1 usb fast charge and 6 outlets.
The other is a Furman PST-8 power strip. I plug all my standard equipment into the Furman, and plus any additional equipment into the Denon, which goes into the wall and my PC.
I spent 280$ on power strips, very worth it. I use the Denon every day on my desk, the Furman filters my dirty lines and keeps me protected in a surge. I have another desk that has two keyboards, a card reader and 10gbps data port, I used USB extensions for that instead of a second PC to save energy, there's already enough electronics. I notice you have that issue in your studio as well, too much electronics :) . They are nice but can be overwhelming spaces, electronically. All I need is some Iloud speakers, the really nice ones because they would fit perfectly, and I will be set forever. I also want to pick up a ISA one box at some time, i have a space for it. My ports and I/O's are almost full, but no problems so far. I run Abelton live 11 from both desks with no problems, been pretty good.

Sir....if I connect a conventional keyboard ( Yamaha PSR i500 ) to focusrite input 1.... And a condenser microphone in input 2...for which I will be needing 48v Phantom power... But the problem is... 48 volt gets applied to both the inputs ( focusrite 2i2) .... Won't the 48 volt phantom power feedback damage my keyboard? I haven't tried it yet.. waiting for your valuable suggestions

I've seen many of your great vids - thank you. The one topic that No ONE has covered in the last few years, is the best setup for keyboard and live gig. Especially for what speakers are best with a midi keyboard. Every YT video you look up is 2-10 yrs old. And even the 2 yr old video is covering speakers that are 7 yrs old.

Minifuse 1 doesn’t have Midi in and midi out .. Still can we connect it to keylab mk2 and monitors and pc and play analog lab upon moniters through interface

New to this world so I have a question. So if the Scarlett outputs go to the monitors and the keyboard goes to the computer how does the sound go from the keyboard/computer to the monitors?

So here’s my setup and I’m having a hard time finding the right answer.
I’d like to keep it desk mounted to avoid a rack but may just have to go that way. I cannot find an interface that will handle all this.
