When i had my ingrown i went to urgent care and they did NOT numb my toe good. Or put a Turnicat. It was extremely painful

I just got this procedure done a few hours ago. Honestly, it was 100% pain-free for me. From the moment they put the numbing liquid on, I didn't feel a thing. This may be because I closed my eyes because I've heard it can help with overall comfort. I recommend to get this treatment done if you need it.

I came here AFTER the procedure because i couldnt bring myself to watch during it lol. The worst part is the numbing needle. Even after the cold spray, it was pretty painful for me (the needle is very long, if you've been to a dentist and seen those needles, the one they use for this procedure is longer!). But once the numbing takes effect, you wont feel a thing except pressure. Once the numbing wore off, i just felt a nagging, but very light pain. It was no different than what it's like with the ingrown in there. The process is very quick, just like in this video.

for me it is hell cuz the shot u get to numb the toe work like 15% on me so i get like 10 shots put the doctor says you are lying, the same thing with the dentist, surgery i wake up in the middle, i need to take 4-5 times the amount of any medication to do the minimum, so yah it hurts like hell.

Had both big toes done when I was 14-15. Haven’t had a problem in the last 22 years.

Why do they do it so agressively. It was horrible for me. Dr hacked most of my nail off unnecessarily. Could not walk on it for over a week. Learned how to do it myself so I will not be hurt like that again.

I don’t know if it’s the person I went to but I could not handle the pain from the numbing agent. It felt like the needle was hitting the bone. I almost vomited. I was told that children have done it and they don’t flinch.

Just get your whole toenail removed, like I did it’s a blessing I don’t have that anymore

If you kill the cells so it never grows back, does your toenail look horrible for ever more?

I got both my toes done and they still come back 😢 I asked the Dr. to burn the cell or whatever it is so they wouldn’t come back 💔 I hate my ingrown nails ! Always so painful and uncomfortable…

This is nuts i got my ingrown toenail removed yesterday n it was the worse pain i ever felt in my life n its the next day not as painful but can still barely walk. Dont go to the ER.

I also had the surgery 1 month ago actually thanks to anesthesia it doesn't pain only the pain is when the needle goes in that's it my whole nail has been taken out and didn't know what happened with me 😶😶

I had a nasty ingrown when I was 14 from wearing shoes that were too narrow and tight for my feet. The doctor was very rough and tried to shame me over it because It was painful. The numbing wasn’t effective at all. I swore from that time onward I would never get another ingrown. It was an awful experience.

omg I wish u were my podiatrist last month !!!! What a terrific job u did on this mans toe. This doctor whom I first saw since I moved here, didnt numb my toe up all the way n hurt me. Great job.

The only bad thing is getting those needles stuck in our toe. I have an ingrown toe nail currently. My toe is a little soar not much and I dreed getting the needle in my toe. This would be my 3rd ingrown 2 on my left big toe and 1 on my right.

To anyone suffering with an ingrown toenail. Don’t be afraid. GET IT FIXED. I suffered with mine for almost 2 years. I was terrified of going. I’m in college, didn’t think I was gonna be able to afford it. I put it off until I could barely walk. I don’t have insurance I paid out-of-pocket which was around $325, that’s a lot of money for me being that I’m paying for school but you NEED to get it fixed, severe ingrown infections if it reaches your bone you’ll lose your TOE. They spray something that makes your toe really cold before they use anesthesia the needle felt like a small pinch you barely feel it, after that the procedure is 100 PAINLESS I didn’t feel a thing and it took maybe 5 minutes. I’m so mad that I don’t go earlier, you will love yourself after. You’ll be able to walk, you’ll be able to put socks on without pain. You’ll be able to sleep well without randomly moving your toe and being in paint. Do it, please.

My mom has blackish as well as deformed toe nails and also attempted this fungus infection solution to cure the problem. Right after a couple of weeks, her nails have begun to become healthy back again. Her toes nails are now developing with a various clear colour.. No, no. You absolutely could not do this to me unless I was out. I've got an ingrown on my left big toe and I've tried to figure out how deep it actually goes and can't. I cut some in an attempt to see how bad it was and stopped because I realized I wouldn't find the end unless I went deeper. No thanks. I've had on and off ingrowns on both of my big toes for years that I've managed to fix just by cutting the nail short but this one is especially difficult. If I can live with it I will because I don't want surgery.
