After updating the BIOS with an increase in performance, the fans began to spin up to 2000 rpm, it lacks a cooler, the card is not the quietest and coldest, whichever JetStream will probably be better.

I wish I could just turn in my 4070 and exchange it for a super or ti super or other card and pay a small upgrade fee.
Instead I have to put in on "ebay", sell it, and buy a new one.
All the stress.
With those prices Nvidia cold totally offer an upgrade service.

I wonder if Steve should get in contact with a programmer. A programmer could write a Macro or a certain input rutine that could automate all manual inputs the Hardware Tester have to make. All games would be put into a queue so to speak.

Mice and Keyboard Software let you do this in a much much smaller scale. Press a button and the Macro software does the next 15 combos or so for you.
Its nice and good if Steve has fun doing stuff manually, but i doubt all this labor "of Love" won't lead to burnout at some point. Even if it gives him just 2 hours off thats already a big reduction of work.

LOL I bought my RX6950Xt last year 2023 for $600 USD new not used from a retailer. Now right the price of the 4070TIsuper is $800 MSRP lol and according to the average frames here spread across multiple Resolutions on Pure Ras performance only makes the 4070TISUPER between 10 to 20 frames per second faster than a previous generation RX6950XT. So for 10 or so extra frames you'll be paying $200 USD lol. Nvidia really know how to screw over the consumer lol in this regard. For example at 1080p you'll be paying $200 USD more for 10 frames, 1440p you'll be paying $200USD for 14 extra frames LOL and lastly 4k for 13 frames you'll still be paying $200 USD LOL. The only thing that Nvidia can rely on is DLSS and Raytracing. THats their only selling point which is shameful really to say the least.

Here in Poland, 4070 Ti Super is priced as same as 7900 XTX (1250$), Asus ROG Strix OC 4080 costs 1750$ ! I couldn't be happier with something else than my Sapphire 7900 XTX Nitro+ Vapor-X, it beats those Ngreedia cards out, I suppose with that 4080 Super(priced) GPU there will be neglible difference, I'm looking forward to your review of it!

I really don't get why they didn't revive to old "Ultra" suffix they used back in the good old days of the FX 5700 etc, would've made more sense, been far less confusing, and looked less freakin' stupid than "Ti Super"

I don't think it is a boring release from Nvidia. The 3070 ti super is the perfect card, for a budget setup, where you have 1440 p for you pc, and the tv right next to IN THE MAN CAVE, is a secondary option.

So as long as you are aware of the bandwidth limit, which is much nicer than it's predecessor, in that, it play everything in 4k, except for the latest and greatest games, and only at the top setting will the bottleneck be there. This is probably exactly what a lot of people have been waiting for. Especially if their budget needs this price point.

They can get super high frames on their pc. And begin to get between 40 to 80 frames on 4k, without locking themselves out by a bottleneck. This card is a sweet spot for the pc and tv gaming rig side by side, at the entry level.

I think you need to put yourself in other people's shoes, before doing these reviews. Otherwise you miss the one in 15 card releases like this one, that represent a tidy product for a common use case:) Cos think about it, when was the last time you needed some dosh for a setup? And had to get every ounce of value out of it in a situation where resources are limited.

All I'm saying is this model makes it a tidy product, and not an annoying one like its predecessor at 4k, and that's what makes it an exciting product.

I've considered minimum 16 GB VRAM/ 256 bit for 1440p.
Basic videocard for my parameters is 7800XT 16 GB $500 ($5.05 per frame)
The next league are
1) 7900XT 20 GB - $730 Sapphire PULSE ($5.74 per frame ) 2 days ago price was - $710 ($5.57 per frame)
Total: +13.6% cost/frame & +46%($230) total cost.
2) 4070 Ti Super 16 Gb $800 - ($6.45 per frame)
Total: +28% cost/frame & +60%($300) total cost.

After making a balanced choice, I bought 7800XT 16 GB in the best implementation Sapphire NITRO+.

PS: I do not like low input lag of DLSS or FSR and also RT because it turns any surface into a mirror and takes 20-40% of the performance. The industry took a wrong turn when it began to measure who could generate more fake frames.

Thank you for going out of your way to update these results. However the difference in results wasn't so much the change the original conclusion.

It's sad that tech reviewers are contacted by Nvidia about a small percentage decrease on a variant of the card that can be bought at retail. The new card should be meaningful enough that these slight differences shouldn't matter. Maybe if GPU manufacturers wouldn't back step on specifications like moving the 70 tier to 192-bit memory bus and whatever else they've done to gimp it and especially make the 60 series much less of a value compared to earlier generations.

I dunno, 7-8% performance uplift from 4070 Ti, and 15% over the 4070 S, for $200, doesn't sound good.
But the 16 GB of ram will affect things drastically in a few titles, and in the future, likely somewhat more titles. The Ti Super has better future-proofing.
The main counter-argument to the 4070 TiS is the 7900 XT it seems. Granted software & drivers still have a bit more polish on green. Which will matter significantly for some, and not at all for others.

Jay got about a 7% uplift by overclocking the 4070 Ti. Real world that means about 5%, as his definition of a "stable" or "safe" OC is debatable. So even though the thermals are great, the OC headroom isn't that impressive.

I'm left with a "meh". In the same perf-range: 4070 Super had a much nicer gain (but still lacks future proofing of 16gb), 7900 XT saw gains via price cut, 4080 Super remains to be seen.

Using RE4 on max settings as an example, other reviewers using the same 4070 Ti Super TUF card have reported an 11% increase in 2k & 14% in 4k over the 4070 Ti. So I'm wondering how you are only reporting 3% 🤔
If this is wildly less, then why should any of these other results be trusted?

Some People: 7900xtx release have some bugs, we don't want broken drivers
Same People: 4070ti super bug lower 5% of performance, but it's ok since it can be fixed with update

Model to Model variance as well as Silicon Lottery. The end results are still the same, namely that the 4070 Ti Super is a year late, as is it's pricing. Underwhelming and Disappointing, as usual.

This is elaborate scheme on Nvidia part. Know the card is not that good. Send the one variant that is having problems. Release reviews - expected weak card. Then with the problem at hand, creators do another video to talk about the card again so Nvidia got more coverage.... and that's just a theory... A GPU THEO....

If the captions can make mistakes, so can you. We appreciate the effort though.
