Go woke, go broke. Ford and Chevy are giddy right now with Ram's "no more V 8" decision. This means they will once again dominate the American truck market. RAM on the other hand, IMO, has made a major mis calculation on who their core consumers are, and what they like. My prediction is that, like with the dud that Ford offered up last year, the "all electric LIghting truck," Ram will have to offer huge discounts and incentives just to move the inventory. And I'm talking upwards of 20 - 30 % off MSRP. When will these corporate idiots learn that nothing can take the place of a good ole American tried and true V 8 power plant in the hearts of 90% of full size truck buyers? Except maybe in California that is? Good luck with your GREEN experiment Ram, I'll hopefully see you again in 2026, or 2027 when you are forced to bring back the V 8 because your truck sales are so abysmal.

As a four-year owner of a 2018 Ram 1500, I’ve spent over six months at the dealership due to electronic problems, an engine replacement at 72k miles, and a transmission failure at 84k miles. Reliability of the new Ram just isn’t worth the investment. I’ve poured an extra $25k into repairs on top of the initial $50k purchase. In summary, the new Ram 1500’s reliability doesn’t justify the time and money spent

I love the Hemi V8. Sad to see it go. Ram will has issues with their turbos just like the Toyota Tundra you watch. Any vehicle with a turbo on it will have a shortened lifespan.

looks great until i see the gear shifter. . . . stopped watching at that point. For the first time ever, i was considering this truck as it looks amazing. Until, you get to the gear shifter. Hard pass and i know at least a dozen people that feel the same way. sorry boys. . . Its a friggin truck . . . for the love of God, get away from the dial shifter. . .

A lot of complaining going on. This is the same engine that’s in the 2024 grand wagoneer and that Beast weighs 7700 lbs and tows up to 10k. The Ram will be fine. The F-150 has a twin turbo v6 too. I’m sure Chevy will follow suit.

I’m happy with my 2023 Ram Laramie. Has the sport appearance package and a few others. As drivers, primarily we need the right arm area to be convenient. Meaning, the knob to change gears vs the stick, the knob frees up so much center console space. You have so much freed up space in the center console, I love my Ram. I’m never getting rid of it. The ride is so smooth, didn’t buy a truck to race or fly down the highway. The inside is very nice. Love my truck

The 5.7 Hemi is time tested and proved. Powerful V8 engine, with the 8 speed TorqueFlite transmission (same used in the Rolls Royce), and the 3.92 rear end. All the kinks have all been worked out since 2009, over the last 15 years. The new trucks are going to have lots of problems for years. I’m glad I have 3 - 5.7 Hemi engine trucks in my arsenal. People are going to be pissed they switched before the kinks have all been worn out of the new.

How does it not bother anybody? With that split tail gate the split is off center every time I am behind a truck at the light with that spilt I’m like why. It looks so stupid. And a white truck it looks worse . Pointless if you can’t lean over a tailgate you shouldn’t have a truck. And fuel use will be more or the same with 6 . Engine has to work that much harder to produce those pounds of thrust. Going up hills or with a load. Like Charleston Heston would say. WHAT HAVE THEY DONE ….
