not knowing 20 years later, she would host the contest in Bergen
I had this song on a singel record. The song Gi meg fri on the outher side. Maybe I will hear Gi meg fri. Not heard it they last 31 years
Exact
This happens to b one of my favs from 1966 bc 1: its sung by someone who was around my age at the time, 2: the song has jazzy and laxed gentleness and yet powerful vocals are also present, and 3: its a folk song about how nothing ever really changes in terms of how humans treat each other, contrary to the popular dynamics at the time which were probably responsible for beginning the ye ye trend in Eurovision music at the time.
Ответитьintet er nytt under solen

None at all new under the sun.
I know an old man, one who has lived for a long time. I know an old man, one who has lived for long. He is so kind when he asks me what has happened to me and whether the sun has burnt me. I chatter and seek consolation, he rocks in his chair (rockchair) and says in hoarse voice: "there is nothing new under the sun". But, what does it matter (what does it care) whether things have occurred before me? But, what matter whether things have occurred before me? No, what hurts me so much from all I knew is that his eyes are sad. What have I to wait for myself there in the chair? When he is so sad there now, none at all new under the sun.
Clever reading, Clever Ase Cleveland, Ase Cleveland was the compère in ESC 1986 as Lille Lindfords did the same work in ESC 1985, and Lille Lindfords and Svante Thuresson sang for Sweden this year 1966 too.😢
Supertalent and bjutiful too
One of my all-time favourites, it's mysterious and really stands out. Glad the juries could at least somewhat appreciate that at the time. :)
I like how she knows it’s 1966 and all the other performers are still stuck in 1956. I’m glad Udo won though as his song was timeless, but this was the most reflective of the time they were living in. Delivered brilliantly too.
Norwegian minister of culture when I was a young lad.
The first chords make me remember "Take five" a lot.
Ответитьthe real winner
Excelente canción!! Mi favorita de aquella edición
Fun fact: this was the first time a woman took part in ESC without wearing a dress!
One of my favorites. Lovely melody. Classic style from the old and great days of the Eurovision song contest. 🤗🇬🇷
I heard her sing on the tv program Antikviteter og snurrepipperier fra 1997
This song is pretty creepy
Ben buraya nasıl geldim
I wish I was born in the early 60s
Ответитьum her voice is a bit destroyed is it because the recorder turn the quality voice down
Ответитьhow old was ase at the contest?
Beautiful Eyes.Aase did the 5/8 song in 1966:)
Ase’s song is right up my alley i am so happy it got 3rd 😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃😃
I wish I'd been a young person in the 60s, I think the 21st century sucks
I had this on a 45pr. Gi meg fri on side B
Ответитьhow did this not win 😭
Nice song. Really deserve to end up in the top 3.
Moody, fascinating and almost hypnotic, this is a spellbinding song, and its richly-deserved 3rd place would remain Norway's best placing until their victory in '85!
Am I the only who hears Kleveland's voice similar to that of Tracy Chapman??? This song was very original back in the 1960s. Genius
I love how she uses dynamics properly as she sings this song. I'm a musician myself and I've really noticed that all of the other songs I've heard in the contest, don't really have the same dynamic contrast like Ase uses in this song. I also love how jazzy it is.
I loathed her presenting in 1986, but this song is just wonderful.
12 Puntazos.

Has song Yavo yom
By Motti Giladi and Sarai Zuriel
Composed and conduct
By Yoram Zadok
Lyrics by Motti Giladi
Lyrics:
6/8 + 2/4 And still a great accessible jazz/pop tune. Fantastic.
If there was a top 10 list for non cheesy ESC songs, this would win!
Such ugly song. But Ase is the minister of culture of Norway.
