I wonder if you guys are seeing similar results. What flight times are you getting with your Mavic Air?

Hey Henri!...I have a question...my fight time counter is not working...it doesn’t show the flight time at all?...it just shows - -/- - any thoughts?...

Also when I fully charge my batteries with the DJI charger. By the time I get one put in the drone. The battery has already dropped to 90% to 96% before I even start the drone. I purchased the fly more kit about a week ago from DJI. Not really 100% happy with the purchase. Maybe it will grow on me

With my mavic air out of three batteries. My max flight time has been just over 14 minutes. But that is also with battery warning set at 30%. Honestly pretty disappointing. My old Phantom 3 Standard stayed up longer.

very good well explained and took into account all possible adverse conditions. I had a mavic pro and now I'm wanting a mavic air for portability. Not only is DJI optimistic about the flight time of its aircraft, I think it is a bad habit for all manufacturers to overestimate flight tim. LIKE!!

Have you tried to do this without using the recording function on the camera? Recording is a strenuous task for the drone to undertake. Action cameras vary on their battery life pending on what settings you record with. Without recording. I bet you'd get an extra minute, pending on what resolution you were recording in this video.

One of my main points of interest in flying from my house is a Motor Cross track a couple of miles away. If I fly in sport mode and grab a couple of shots and return using video the entire way I get
around 9 minutes. I'm landing with about 22-25 % battery remaining. It gets kind of scary but there is nothing but flat desert the last mile so a safe landing is possible. I don't think I could make this
flight without using sport mode. what do you think?

What is important as well is the home location altitude. It's completely different to fly at Sea level and at 2000' AGL. The lower your home's location altitude will be the better flying time you will have, cause due to the higher air density, the drone will spend less energy to fight gravity and maintain flight.

How many times has battery been used. Normally these batteries like to be charged several times before 100% performance. Then each battery maybe more or less by a few percent as well. Would like to see outcome based upon this approach.

Why I’m I getting 15min max?

21 minutes is a time in PERFECT conditions, that means probably around 70 degrees outside, no wind and flying forward continuously in a straight line without turning. Flying forward generates lift! Its just like auto makers that state cars get 30 miles per gallon ( which is on the highway at 60mph with no wind on dry roads ) there will always be conditions.

Imo 30 minutes of flight time would be amazing, but 15 minutes of time is MORE than enough to get a few good shots of what you are trying to shoot. If you can't do it in 15 minutes you need some practice or need to plan the shot you want before you take off rather than planning it while in the air.

For the features and flight times the Mavic Air is one of DJI’s best deals for the money.

I generally like your videos - however, I think this test is a little biased. You did 1167 seconds and landed at 90%, therefore, 100% use would give you 21.61 minutes (1297 seconds). Furthermore, you are at the very bottom end of the temperature range for efficiency, and we all know it takes a few uses from a battery to get to its peak condition.

May I respectfully ask you to do this again, but in warmer weather and with a battery that has been conditioned. I reckon you will get the full 21 minutes.

Keep up the great work.
ANDREW

21 minutes surely is based on 100% battery usage, and you used 85%. What do you think?
