If anyone here is having this issue with Hammer++, I was able to fix it by doing the same thing but to Counter-Strike Global Offensive\bin\hammerplusplus\hammerplusplus_gameconfig.txt.

Oof This didnt work for me But there is another way to fix it if it doesnt work for you go into browse local files and delete and i mean DELETE put then in the recycle bin and empty it all the files in there and uninstall hl2 then reinstall hl2 fully and then it should work again Also after that you need to launch the actual og half life 2 if your trying to play episodes So the launcher will be in the files

when i was checking the files for the recording it said this when i tried to open the file - setup file gameinfo.txt doesnt exist in subdirectory hl2 , check your game parameter or VCONFIG setting

im using source film maker and this tutorial did not work

i dont even have a gameconfig to open up. all my drivers are up to date, game is up to date. tried reinstalling the game and even steam. anytime i open the screen turns black and closes, no error report or anything lol. what should i do if im missing the gameconfig?
