Like the look how ever I am terrified of all the recalls on replacing engines and they catching fire!
ОтветитьThat's a FAIL. 😢
ОтветитьAwesome video. I'm Canadian and have a Santa cruz. I have the preffered model(base model) on 18 inch wheels which is awd with the 2.5 turbo engine which i believe is sel in the states.
We have the different terrain modes here. Mud sand and snow.
I truly believe that this vehicle could conquer this course better with 2 important things.
1. Better tires. And 2 the option for terrain modes.
The 18inch tires would do better in off road situations. Make them alterrain/all weather tires and this course would have been a breeze. Tossing in mud or snow mode most of this course would be a none issue!
I have a 2023 Tuscon SEL with the convenience, for that price yes certainly worth it, 30 mpg gallon highway, handles, great, love the Blue link, etc. but for 40 grand i think i would opt for a Tacoma or Ridgeline, bigger bed, etc.
ОтветитьAn SUV with a box in the back.
Ответитьwhat if they made 3rd row suv with this....
ОтветитьSeems pretty inexperienced in off road driving.
ОтветитьWhy do you reviewers always do the top end models. In this case the non dct model is better offroad
ОтветитьYour way over exaggerating the trail check, just drive the thing already.
ОтветитьI personally would like the bed a tad wider on the inside and a bit longer also wider track
ОтветитьSame with the muti push button to lower volume and that dual clutch gets heated and prices
Ответитьdid you say 40 thousand dollars for that
ОтветитьHyundai Kia sun-visors have a telescoping feature.
ОтветитьThis is basically a 4 door Ute. I’ve always wondered why we didn’t have any Utes in the American market, especially since ford had the ranchero and Chevy had the el Camino. I guess they didn’t stick because of egotistical truck drivers lol. That being said, I’d still buy a ridgeline over the Santa Cruz. I think the Santa Cruz is cool and looks great, but the ridgeline is just a better package. Plus, the ridgeline is far better off road. I plan on taking it down some trails and camping.
ОтветитьI really prefer the looks of the exterior Maverick over this. I'm probably in the very small minority for this one. . . I prefer the interior of the Maverick too. The Santa Crus is more comfortable, but it felt(is) like a giant copy/paste job from Hyundai. Nothing really sets it apart. It felt just like the Tuscon I was in. No identity. I'm surprised Ford decided to put to much effort into the Maverick's unique interior. Not just a sea of black.
ОтветитьI have been waiting for years for small pickups to make a return (own a 2001 Ford Ranger). What I want today is a hybrid, AWD, with lots of modern features. Both the Santa Cruz and the Maveric miss the mark just a bit. Wondering if the new Toyota will fit the bill.
ОтветитьBut now they “make you” buy the scratch protection so after a bit before the warranty runs out have them replace everything that’s scratched up
ОтветитьThe new Toyota will give the Santa Cruz and the Ford Maverick a run for its money.
ОтветитьIn Idaho where I live, it's legal to ride in the bed of a truck. me and my siblings ride in the bed of my dad's santa Cruz a lot in summer.
ОтветитьSnow mode makes it better than Subaru.

Ответитьperfect truck. Big enough to throw a few bikes or packs in back, but small enough no one will ask you to help move shit.
ОтветитьI really want one of these, but I can't pull the trigger till the Limited gets wireless Apple Carplay. I know it's the head unit manufactures' fault but that seems like such an odd omission when the lower trims head unit has it.
ОтветитьVery nice
ОтветитьI'm confused why they can't offer this engine in the Tuscon.. Also, not sure what the reasoning is with the DCT. Neat though.
ОтветитьI'm waiting on my SEL Premium, very excited
Ответитьfor my use, the Santa Cruz would be perfect. I do not do much offroading, what little I do, entails getting to a spot to go kayaking or mountain biking, so I would have parked at the bottom of that hill and ridden up. The towing I do would be close to 3000 pounds, my small 17 foot sailboat with trailer is just short of that weight, so again, perfect. The only problem is that Hyundai has a stable of Hybrids and even EVs now. So, for me to consider the Cruz, it would have to be a minimum, a hybrid. As like most people, 90% of my driving is getting back and forth to work on well paved roads.
ОтветитьThe Santa Cruz is a really cool looking vehicle, will Ford take the challenge? They still own the Ranchero name, and a Ford Fusion type AWD ute may be just the thing.
ОтветитьI dont know what to choose Santa Cruz or the Maverick 😞
ОтветитьThis has better gas mileage than Toyota truck or Jeep. This has more power than a Toyota or Jeep.
ОтветитьCool looking truck. The "off road" test is always welcomed. No AWD is every going to compare to true 4x4 especially with a locker, also most of the cross overs lack ground clearance for true off roading. That being said, if they had decent tires on it will still make a big difference. Lastly, where these AWD systems excel is in snow conditions.
ОтветитьWOW !! YOU DID AN AWESOME JOB, my first time here and i really enjoyed it. Thank you!!
ОтветитьLove the content on this channel. I see that the Santa Cruz struggles in many off road scenarios. With 18" Wilpeak Trails do you think it would handle MidAtlanticNortheast winters well? I currently do well in a 2.0L Crosstrek
ОтветитьThis is awesome ❤.. Just bought one.. I wanted a small truck and love the cooler in the bed. I may upgrade the tires for New England Winters.
ОтветитьToo small no room on the back price too much
ОтветитьThe base model seems better due to having 8 speed automatic trans for off road
Ответить1990 Depressing Grey or Death Black SUCKS 🤮🤮🤮
ОтветитьThose tires are part of the problem off road
ОтветитьMy touchscreen Nissan looked great after 5 years so not too worried about it, also you can get a screen saver.
ОтветитьI needed 8 feet long and 30 inches wide closet sliding door. I have 2023 santa fe sel. I went to hoke depot and got sliding door and 6 pieces of 9 feet wood for shelves. I had to fold second row seats. Fits right in. I don't think this can fit that being short bed. Door with packaging was almost 9 feet long and more wider.
ОтветитьDont forget the warranty......
ОтветитьWell, after all, you should try to make by yourself, cars that will fit you 100 percent,c,c,c,c,...
ОтветитьReal talk about real concerns regarding how certain things will hold up over time. That's why I subscribed.
Ответить40k man i think that's too much for my bank to bear.
Ответитьthe mpg is disappointing for what it is, but the hyundai truly is better in many ways than ford
ОтветитьThe vacuum Guitar amp tubes are fuckin AWESOME!!! you must be a blast to party with
ОтветитьYou literally make excuses for why you don’t like revolutionary new radio innovations. Also, Hyundai is number one with interior quality with economy cars. I think the touch buttons will last longer than five years 🤦🏼♂️
ОтветитьAre you on I-90 in Washington state?
