The Science of Being Transgender ft. Gigi Gorgeous

I am 63 and have been Transgender since I can remember. Although I do not know who Gigi Gorgeous is, I have no doubt she is an exceptional human being. What I want for myself, and the Trans community is to be taken seriously. I am just a human being that was born different. I am not sexually promiscuous or perverted. I think the message would have been more effective in the (Non-Transgender) community if someone who presented themselves in a more Conservative manner had done so. I want to be respected and taken seriously by the Non-Transgender community that can't comprehend the struggles many Trans people endure every day. I guess I am supposed to apologize for coming across an old stuffed Shirt but I can't.

It is interesting that the title of this video has the word “science” in it when, as far I can can tell, the creator has zero background or education in any science, much less the biological sciences. People need to be aware of the qualifications, or lack thereof, of the people who they are using as a source of information. Be wise people.

Its is genuinely astonishing that we make so many exceptions and have double standards when talking about trans people.

Im on board with most of what was said but where they lose me is when they say that the suicide rates are higher in trans people because of discrimination and not because of their condition.

If ANY other person commits suicide, experts tell their loved ones, "Its not your fault" "There was nothing you could have done different". They acknowledge the tragedy but dont hold other people responsible.

Yet when trans people commit suicide these same "experts" will tell you everyone else is at fault and discrimination is to blame. Then in the same breath they will turn around and add that trans people have lower suicide rates AFTER they transition (regardless of discrimination)

If discrimination was a significant contributing factor then why arent suicide rates higher in one of THE most discriminated communities on the face of the planet? The black community!

White people have historically been FAR less discriminated against than black people yet CONSISTENTLY have more than double the suicide rate per capita than the black community.

If you look at suicide trends going back to the 1950's, white Americans have double and sometimes even TRIPLE the suicide rates of black Americans.

If the things mentioned in this video are true then we could determine one’s gendr via MRI scans.
It would also mean that gendr isn’t fluid, but limited to the anatomical structures in the head.
Finally, it would mean that the number of gendrs wouldn’t be vast, but limited to male/female structures.

Soooo.....it's psychological. I would anticipate there are also a large group of transgender people who DO NOT have this brain development abnormality, but were sexually abused or experienced some other childhood trauma.

then what's the difference between trans ppl and intersex ppl? there's not really much info about the science of trans ppl and about intersex ppl so I'm confused and usually the information that is there is not proper

It's big big big money to be made off these kids when it comes to this. This is payment into perpetuity for the medical and big Pharma. Then on top of that once they become the age of 16-18 then they're gonna start to get to surgeries, and now you have this big costly surgery that's probably going to cost about a hundred thousand dollars, and then on top of that they have to stay on the hormones and then have follow-ups and probably get surgery again because maybe the doctor messed up.

Transgenderaspect is making a permanent patient, because medicalization in this sense breeds medicalization… you have complications from surgery, better have another surgery… you're still uncomfortable with something, better have another procedure… you have side effects from taking hormones, well we got to get you on more medication to fix that, or anything else that will provide money.
