Great video! I'd say he is among America's greatest authors, and definitely deserves recognition outside of just Moby Dick, which is sadly that something that everyone knows of, but hasn't read.

Moby Dick is the first epic American masterpiece. Melville, despite his faults, absolutely killed it as an author. Good video,subscribing now.

This is a very good & informative video. I’m reading Moby Dick, such a great book. Melville reached greatness with it.

The Confidence Man is my favorite Melville novel, aside from Moby Dick. Truly a neglected masterpiece.
