By the time the video ended my blood was boiling, and I'm not even British. Some heads must roll, ladies and gentleman.

When working men start listening to Tory promises, the Tories have beaten them completely. Not just with Propaganda but BRAIN WASHING. BREXIT was an obvious choice not to come out. The Tories sprang it on the UK after it had wreaked its economy with 5 years of AUSTERITY and then blamed it on the EU. Tories always blame somebody else for their FAILURES. The failure in Grimsby was the FISHERMEN and its easily manipulated population.

I understand these peoples frustration but commercial fishing isn't exaclty a profession with a lot of perspective.
Waters are overfished already and without quotas it'd be even more unsustainable.

Part of me feels sorry for these people, but part of me is also “your fault for believing Boris and Farage” Boris hasn’t been back since and his local MP is ignoring him. Don’t worry the MPs and liberal politicians will back when the election is on.

UK can still re-apply for EU membership...

I was a fisherman for almost 40 years and could never understand why most guys wanted Brexit. Even our fishing "leaders" called it a "sea of opportunity" Most fish and shellfish caught by the UK fleet is exported to Europe. to me it seemed absurd to want to cut yourself off from your main market.
Leading up to the referendum on the EU, the guys were not doing great but they were doing ok. There was a confidence in the industry, a lot of new vessels were getting built, fish stocks were on the increase. Sure, we could have used more quota, but more fish on the market usually resulted in poorer prices and often your no better off.

I always felt it was our own Governments that caused the decline in the Industry,
When days at sea and quotas were slashed they never supported the Industry like our European counterparts did.
I was told by a Dutch fisherman that every time there was a quota cut or days at sea cut the EU put up funding to support the Industry. All the EU asked (to access the funding) was that the member country matched what funding the EU put up.
Our Governments didnt, they never took it up, instead they took a bigger rebate to use in other areas. leaving many in the Industry to rack and ruin. - Our Government called it "market forces"

Boris turns up at a few fishing ports and is hailed as the Messiah of the industry, Everyone knew he was a liar and rotten to the core, how they hell they fell for his crap I'll never know.

UK growth will outpace Germany and the eurozone for years to come as the Continent faces a deeper recession caused by higher interest rates.

While both the German and UK economies shrank in the three months to September, putting both at risk of recession, analysts at UBS expect Britain to bounce back within a year.

That is unlike Europe’s largest economy. Berlin is already grappling with a budget crisis after Germany’s top court ruled that the government broke the law by using Covid cash to fund net zero spending.

House prices across the country have also suffered double-digit declines.

There wasn't a problem with the concept of Brexit it was a sound idea, the problem arose because Doris had no intention of following through with his promise to get the country out from under the thumb of Brussels.
THIS ALL FALLS AT THE FEET OF TORY PARTY, they failed the British public.
