Appreciate the tutorial SGO.. but the 2k23 dev team killed the post this year. By adding the "disengagement" feature. No one posts up, then mid posting decides.. "Imma face up now". Lol. Just makes the post game so clunky, and less fluid.

The problem is these controls are so case sensitive that when u try to di a specific move u end up doing something else and missing

you explain post moves like you got 47 chromosomes, why would you tell people to use the joystick to hop jump out of post, you tap square.

Season 6 is here I did a steve nash build in season5 and had a lot of fun with him got a lot of friend requests because every one wants to play with a PG that is getting 15 to 20+ assists a game. This season is a amare stoudemire build I'm already having a lot of fun with him on each end of the court just need to get more post moves in my bag. Thanks

Thanks for this in depth tutorial. I have been wanting to add a bit of post moves because my SF has strength for silver backdown punisher. Hope that's enough but anyway I've still been stuck trying to do the basics 🤣🤣🤣

As a post up big, I've noticed 2k added in a canned animation this year they shouldn't have. A standing layup I mostly see when drop-stepping, a falling back one handed shot with the hand CLOSEST to the basket and defender, which will almost always be highly contested and a miss. No use of the analog (left or right hand) stops this shot animation from occurring. No real life player would ever do this.

I just bought this like two weeks ago and I still cant figure out the shooting I seriously only make like 10 percent of my shots... I've played 16 games and won like 4 and never scored more than 40 points. I just cant get the timing. Its aggravating because I am decent on every other sports game but this one lol

You can use square to initiate a standing dunk animation wait till he takes 2 steps and before you jump to dunk hold up and turbo and it interrupts the animation and you'll take 2 more steps. This is how your 4 step travel dunk I haven't seen many people do this I've been doing this all season. You can also pivot and fake do this enough times and he'll change his pivot foot. It only works now and then and doesn't really benefit u but is funny too watch
