In my opinion the voice is to thin for this song. Also autotune doesnt fit this song. The voice also lacks character (for instance: its not fragile feminine, nor is it naughty feminine, or anything... although it has a bit of a ''country-blues''-type like a budget-version of Sheryl Crow). As my first sentence says it (thin voice) this song needs a voice with volume, with power (espescially when the setup is rock/hardrock ).
The coverversion has few interesting ideas on the instrumental side, but by far not enough to make it unique (its almost like the musicians cant decide wether they should only copycat, or make something individual out of it).
Together with the bad voice , at best its ok for a school performance, but nothing more. Unfortunately.
I think this band definetely needs to find their identity ... what they want to be , what unique style they want to find and establish.
Anyway - this is only my opinion. My opinion doesnt need to mean anything.
