I recently canceled a Visa credit card for the third time due to recurring issues that I think are caused by Visa Account Updater. I have a merchant who was never authorized to charge my card. Despite my efforts to address this with the merchant, they persist in attempting unauthorized charges on my credit card. Bank of America assists by canceling the card on my behalf, but the replacement Visa card appears to be automatically sent to the unauthorized merchant, enabling them to make unauthorized transactions. These ongoing situations lead to recurring incidents of unauthorized transactions each month. I'm not 100% sure this is the case, but everything I've done in my research seems to indicate this is true.

This helps because even capital one carries virtual card. I called them due to a transaction I made. Promised to watch online sports for $1 😂. I fall for it but at least was a $1. So as soon I made the purchase, supposedly a link was going to be provided but instead it was disconnected website. Quickly, I lock the card and replaced/changed. As soon i call capital one i was told not to worry just call when the transaction is posted in the meantime the account will be checked. The virtual card that previously was used is disabled as in no use as known as burner card.

I will definitely use this virtual or privacy website. If your bank offers you virtual cards for online purchases. Use it. Trust me now days specially holidays, hackers are active 24/7.

It amazes me that the world is getting this now just 1 or 2 year old tech, I have been using this for over 10 years and was always hard to explain to international sellers when they had to do a refund, that it was a temporary credit card because they would just not understand the concept.
