I used to hate how St Anger sounded, and while I still think it has a crappy sound I can now appreciate the crappy sound just a little bit more... makes this a truly unique album.

St. Anger was necessary evil. Is the album Metallica deserved to do after doing what the record label demanded them to do with their music in the past.

My favorite album of all time

Lets be honest here, daddy hetfeild destroying the 7 sring for starters, first record with Trujillo who is a beast. an entire new songwriting approach never seen again in the Metallica camp, the raw garage sound. This is 100% a CLASSIC Metallica record. Who only Metallica could have wrote. Whole thing is wild and arguably their heaviest album.

Dirty Window, Sweet Amber, Frantic, and Unamed Feeling were great tracks. I'm glad St. Anger album pissed everybody off.

lars said this album was more for them then for fans, they needed to vent out about being angry. but that makes it a work of art as is.

The snare drum sounds great here…Kirk’s voice not so much.

We found what we hoped to find on the album here. Sometimes I think they should have recorded this and released it as the album.
The guitar solos are still missing though but in the 20 years since St.Anger came out originally, it seems to be getting better with age for me at least.

The Best time

This is SO good... How come I haven't found it earlier? Whole album sounds great live! I like most of the tracks on St. Anger, some of them I even love but it's hard for me to spin the whole album song by song. It's exhausting. I mix them with other 'Tallica songs and every time I hear any of St. Anger track, I smile. Don't know why!

У меня😉 именно эта версия альбома везде играет , как и магнетизм смерти демо версия, они живые, мне как фанату металлики они очень нравятся, мне похрен все их эксперименты со звуком, я полюбил эту группу именно за хардроковское звучание альбомов загружай96, перезагружай97, мне понравилось, что они вылезли из этого сатанинского танка трэш метала, и заиграли хард, только в этом ответвление роке остатся место для света ,души,и чего позитивного 🤘🇷🇺

They should of just released a live version. The snare actually sounds like a snare and not the side of a keg of beer.. And surely, they should of recorded onto 2" tape too. Why go digital if your trying to be so rough and real. But whatever

Still my most loved album of all time. Going through major depressions from age 14 to 20, untreated cuz I appeared to be just a fuck up. This album saved my life when it came out, and many times after. The lyrics, the positive energy, it was opium for my soul. When things are getting hard I put Saint Anger in and I feel better. When I was in hospital years later I asked my mom to bring me my laptop and saint anger so I can put it on my smartphone. I would love to tell that James in person some day, maybe Ill afford a Meet And Greet Ticket some day just to do that.

What an album, raw emotion, heavy and so much energy.
