This person is expressing a certain ignorance that is unhealthy, both for himself, and for those who seek guidance from him.
People have to choose how to invest their time. However, we are also naturally inclined to spend a significant portion of that time on working with other people. The statistics he uses are a lie. 100% of us are only concerned with our own interests, and if we invest in someone who harms, demeans, or takes advantage of us, we are the one to pay the price, and no one else. This can happen to anyone, anywhere, for any reason.
In my experience at age 33 rejection has not gotten any easier in the last 23 years I still feel like that 10 year old child and I feel I experience at least perceived rejection on an almost daily basis. Listening to this has added to my shame and humiliation that I’m still not over this like I apparently should be long past It’s the perceived judgement and prolonged anguish that always prevents me from truly following through on getting real help I always think it’s too hard and too late
ОтветитьBrendon, that was excellent and insightful message. :) I really need to hear it.

ОтветитьTHis video is wonderful thank you
ОтветитьIt’s hard bc I’m highly sensitive
ОтветитьI was a musician, that is a life of rejection
ОтветитьThis is so good. Thank you:)
ОтветитьYou could say the best logic in the world to my feelings they just don't listen. I don't know how helpful this was for me at least.
ОтветитьUntrue! The 5-7 ppl that rejected you was personal and about your personality - relationship - business wise etc, the thousands who didn’t you didn’t ask anything from them you didn’t ask for approval in your personality you just interact with them
ОтветитьI had a fear of being rejected in sales. I was intimidated and fearful of a stranger saying “no” to me. But every time I went out, I overcame that fear and I began to close deals. Conquered that one.
Fear of being rejected by a woman. Yes. Still working on that. Occasionally I’ll get the strength to intro myself
You've just did something very good to someone very far away. I wish you all the best!
ОтветитьAnyone who has ever done what they could to save someone and is then rejected by the person they saved is exposed to fear of rejection
ОтветитьOh my lord, this video hit really hard, u are so right man, I got regected once in my life when I was 18 years old by a school director and another person, I was there to ask for an internship in that school and they tried to test my abilities and so regected me saying that am not good enough and I should go back home and prepare more then come back again... That event terribly effected me and in consequence I'm struggling now to move on and face some kind of situation like job interviews.. I have always this fear of rejection that holds back... Am now 24 I graduated with the highest degree in my class and am a polyglot however I feel like being a loser, still can't find the job I deserve so I just work mediocre jobs that need no qualifications.... Last week a friend of mine recommended me to an RH for a job and could not go for the interview due the the same reason...
ОтветитьThanks❤
Ответитьmath doesn't reflect with human emotions. Rejection is the feeling that I'm mot good enough.
ОтветитьUnfortunately this video seems to lack any understanding of the psychological basis for fear of rejection. We are literally wired to fear rejection for survival. The sentiment of being able to not fear rejection is great, but the "just get over it" mindset is neither useful nor effective. In my practice I have never encountered clients with a fear of rejection who are "unexamined", but tend to be "over-examined" and overthink every little thing. Don't feel bad for having a fear of rejection, it does not mean you are an unexamined dumb-dumb. You can certainly face this fear head on, overcome and be free of it. This guy appears to have good intentions, but leaves a tremendous amount to be desired.
ОтветитьI'm 54 years old. Male, Learning about Fear of Rejection now.
ОтветитьHave you considered that fear of rejection can come from early childhood attachment issues? Processes in the brain that are deeply wired.
ОтветитьHi Brendon, fear of rejection sometimes is very deep and need therapy not just a « pep talk ». And as a constructive comment : I think you should talk with a little more empathy and less judgement (or sounding a bit condescendant). Have a great day !
ОтветитьThank you!
Ответитьim 34 and still cant deal with rejection. scared to talk to strangers wont approach woman im stuck in life. its easier said than done.
ОтветитьI think he's very helpful
ОтветитьSadly even the paid critics are the worst
ОтветитьWow, this was incredibly disappointing to hear. I thought this guy was on to some great things in other videos but this is a deal breaker. He’s not insensitive…..he’s clueless and he can’t afford that when trying to help counsel and encourage peoples behaviors. One comment said he doesn’t get it. That’s an understatement. Thing is, he doesn’t seem to even be conscious of what he’s lacking in this. Not the learning attitude I’d have expected.
ОтветитьAs another commenter mentioned, fear of rejection originates from the subconscious mind, therefore it needs to be healed at the level of the subconscious mind. Getting facts and data, as Brendon provides in this video, appeals to the conscious, logical mind. Emotional issues need emotional healing.
ОтветитьI have an extreme fear of rejection. I think that I’m not enough.
ОтветитьFear isn't logical or rational. You can't reason it away.
ОтветитьThat’s sad that the intro diminishes the serious pain of the fear of rejection. It’s a missed opportunity to validate very real feelings. The whole video seems like he is better than. “You’re an adult and you fear rejection?” Sad.
ОтветитьIgnore the haters 🙏🏽
Much love from Bali ❤️
The way he was explaining himself for the fear of hate comments seemed pretty much like he fears rejection.
Moral; no one ´s perfect
I want to die
ОтветитьThank you Sir.
I have been suffering from chronic fear of rejection and that has made me to dim my light. No more .
Fear of rejection is not myth. Fear develops from real experience. I applied for job 100 times, and 100 times I was rejected. I approached 100 girls, and 100 girls rejected me. Now I have no power to apply for a job or approach girls. Shall I continue thinking that my fear of rejection is myth?
ОтветитьSo his argument is basically we shouldn't be afraid of rejection because it barely ever happens. I think that is terrible advice, how is that gonna reduce my fear of it?
ОтветитьWell if it was that easy...
ОтветитьWow, it's WAY higher than 7 for me! I'd hard to track, but I'd say its got to be closer to 100, maybe more! Yikes I just realised this this morning and that's why I'm here watching this looking for a solution to rewire my brain, normally I'd teach people to find a way to prove the fear is not true and then repeat it so you can create a new neural pathway... But I'm struggling to find a way to find a way to repeatedly prove to myself that I'm not being rejected without risking being rejected! 🤔
Ответить"God will bless those who are rejected right in front of people who rejected!" All success stories have 1000s of rejection... Still they didn't loose hope n moved on..... Moving on and trying is quintessential in life but one needs God to support, to wipe tears n encourage as well...!! Be positive ... Somewhere your dreams are fructifying for a better n higher self but it is invisible right now!!
Ответитьwow. i'm glad i found this!
ОтветитьOutstanding!!!!!!!!!
Listened to the video x3 and will listen again in the future because it is the important stuff I tend to forget easily....thank you!
Your statements are hurtful and shaming for having debilitating emotional state! "We are to old as adults to have fear of rejection?" What do you feel when you are rejected, Brendon?
ОтветитьIt's awesome and Marvellous sir ...thanks.
Regards.
Raju Nagial. / India
Sir superb stuff , great information, thanks 👍
ОтветитьI dealt with the fear of rejection for a very long time!
When things are left unsolved it affects us until we examine those things just like you said.
Unfortunately some people take a long time to come around to taking a step back to viewing their life and realizing that we have the power to overcome these occurances!
Your optimism is rare in the narcissistic world. Feeling good!!!!
