What Frame Rate Should You Be Filming In?

Would 24 fps be okay if people are walking? Or 30fps?

Is 24 fps more cinematic?

If I shot in 30fps or 60 fps or even 24 could I shoot in 120 fps for the slow motion effect? Or I would have to shoot the whole thing in 120fps and just do slow motion for the part I wanted it at pocket 6k BM?

We’ll post the camera on a 16ft tripod and need to zoom after post recording and slowmo watch. What camera would you suggest? Film at 30 fps right?

What happens If I shoot at 60fps and put it in a 30fps sequence and I dont slow it down? No one answers that

why are my 23.976 videos lagging in premiere pro? sequence is ok a week before, then this. i shot footage in 25 or 50 shutter speed in sony zve10. i have a ton of video now and cant edit smoothly in premiere. but when I try to export, its ok 🥲

I notice some 1080 or 4k security cameras play back recording of people with some blur. Also, sometimes lighting happens to not be great. What fps do you recommend for security cameras?

I'm wanting to take video of our trip to Europe this summer and am using my S22 Ultra camera at 4k resolution. I did a test in my neighborhood, panning down the street at UHD 30 and did it also at UHD 60 settings. The 60 was noticeably smoother. The 30 was jagged as it panned. Is this the framerate making it jagged looking as it pans?? It was so much smoother at the 60 setting.

what if I want to shoot 24 fps in 4k , but in order to shoot slow motion In that same video I need to go down to HD to shoot 60 or 120 fps on my Sony a7c so what do I do here for the timeline?

you could have a 120fps pipeline, and duplicate the 24 frames 5 times and the 30 frames 4 times.

I get annoyed when people shoot video at any frame rate but with an exposure time of 1/1000th or something. The absence of motion blur is damned annoying.

I shoot alot of underground videos and i notice if i shoot at 60fps with a 1/60 shutter I get a brighter image.If I double shutter my image gets dark.
If I shoot at 24-30fps I get choppy panning.
