Hi I was just wondering if it mattered if I attend atp flight school with a part 61 ppl or would I need a part 141 ppl to receive credit for all my hours

As an instructor teaching students who have no experience of background in aviation and who are looking to turn this into career, what are some signs, or hints do these students portray that tell you they will go the distance?

Better yet, what do you expect to see in new students without exactly telling them what to do that will hint to you that they will go the distance just because they did this or that?

Im a senior in highschool getting ready to graduate in the next month. Over this summer my dad (airline pilot for AA) is going to give me duel given, and hopefully I can get my PPL at a local flight club for cheap. I play on going to ATP right after this but my only concern is how do they teach you? To my understanding at ATP you don’t have class instruction, only self study and a CFI to help you. Once you start ATP do they give you stuff to study on a set schedule or is it truly up to you to figure everything out?

To join atp is there a specific gpa or just a high school diploma ?

I'm 47 and considering a career change. I have my ppl and am currently working on my instrument rating. Can you clarify how atp works? My understanding is that atp helps you get all the ratings you need fast so that you could then become a cfi, which helps you get the 1500 hrs in an affordable way. Is that how it works?

When I was looking at becoming an airline pilot a decade ago, the regionals wouldn't talk to you without a bachelor degree. If that is still true, you could have your 1,500 hrs complete within a couple of years, then wait another year of two to complete your bachelor. Something I would want to know is, when does he start paying on this ATP loan. If he's paying loan as a college student and working part-time has an instructor, the finances are going to be tight. The only way I could see it working is financial support from his family. Not trying to throw shade on the guy, just want HS students to think of the long term financial impact doing fight training first.

Hi great video. I am in a similar position and need to choose what to do. My two options are the fast track with atp and an online business or something. Or I can do training with a flight affiliate through liberty and get my R-ATP at 1000 hours. What do you think is better? Thanks
