ОтветитьBlueprints is by far the most horrible thing about Unreal Engine. It is so vast and chaotic and just doesn't make sense to me at all.
ОтветитьI'm a beginner and because of recent unity events I moved to unreal but this tutorial not sure what to say sometimes he explains perfectly and useful but sometimes he doesn't build a project to show you how things are used and work, he just does it like a speed run, there are easier ways to do the things he does and shows it in a way that is more complicated and only confuses you

ОтветитьAs usual with tutorials. He spent 30 minutes explaining boring things that most may know already, and when he started with blueprints he just drops elements, type in speed of light and links them in a few minutes.

ОтветитьYou don't have to use C++ for most of your UE needs. C++ is not a scripting language for scripting gameplay, it's only useful for either extending BP functionality or maxing performance. BPs are the scripting environment basically, for UE, and they're almost as performant as C++ itself in probably most cases, especially after building. It makes sense to use C++ for a game that requires superfancy features and extra flexibility, like a heavy duty Total War title. But for most game projects, e-v-e-r-y-t-h-i-n-g you need is right there, in BPs!

install/update .NET Framework. You can do this by running Microsoft Visual Studio Installer, then click on “Modify” next to installed version of Visual Studio, switch tab to Individual Components and check latest version of .NET SDK.
typical tutorial in which on simple crap he spends 3 hours and on serious and complex things 2 seconds taking them for granted, not recommended. it almost seems like they do it on purpose it's frustrating.

Ответитьplease don't cram 11 hours into one video. It's very difficult to precisely rewind to the right moment to relisten, which I often need to do to grasp instructor's teachings. It's very frustrating and wastes a lot of time for people. Thank you.

ОтветитьI'm at the sixth hour now, and have been enjoying this course a lot! The focus on getting hands-on experience with all the concepts and tools necessary to develop anything was exactly what I was looking for. Many other courses just focus on getting a demo game built, without knowing exactly what's going on behind the scenes or how to develop something yourself. Looking forward to finishing the whole video!
